When you take shortcuts, you get lost. There’s nothin’ fast about our food; in fact, it’s downright slow. Don’t let that fool you-we know quick service. As we like to say slowly smoked, quickly devoured. Our Pit Masters have spent years crafting the perfect technique to barbeque. We are not only champions in serving up delicious smoked meats and sides, we are champions at delivering a homestyle customer experience that will have you coming back for more.

BBQ meats take center stage at this funky counter-serve, which also makes burgers, sides & beers.

I was feeling some Thanksgiving grub and was searching for something nearby.

I got the Thanksgiving plate with smoked turkeys, stuffing, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and roll.

The roll was awesome and reminded me of my moms. The turkey was moist and really good. I even added a little spicy bbq sauce.

I finished it off with some peach cobbler which was really good!

I’ll be back!

The definition of mediocrity unfortunately, as there aren’t many good BBQ joints in the area. Ribs were good although a bit small. Brisket had good bark but not enough rub. The sausage flavor was weirdly sour, but pleasantly spicy. The cucumber salad was soggy and very vinegar-y, and the sweet tea wasn’t very sweet. I will have to come back and try other things on the menu, but I won’t be in a rush.

Dinner was free tonight as part of a VIP opening. Truly delicious BBQ! Everything was hot fresh and fast. I know I’ll be back to try the full menu. I feel the caveman burger calling my name.

For the sake of feedback for improvement:

The beer pours were very…poor. Both our beers were over a quarter foam. Pick is after it settled. Ordered 3 meats combo which I thought came with choice of hush puppies but was upcharged $2.50 for hush puppies and the brisket was mainly chunks of sliced fat. Also the napkins were empty at our table and the one next to us. Not impressed overall, but I will be back because I want them to be successful and the staff guy welcoming people in was pleasant.

Like others, I’m always excited to try a new BBQ restaurant. I had the pulled pork sandwich at lunch, while the meat flavor and quality was average, the proportion of bun to meat was off for my liking. To large of bun area for the meat supply- I would of rather had a same quantity of meat but higher stacked sandwich that was on a smaller diameter bun. Too much average bin per bite.
The garlic mashers were fresh, but the gravy was a generic brown sauce style.
It will be a little while, but I’ll likely try a plate next time with the other option.

Stopped in Friday night. Got the half rack ribs & Fries. The ribs were excellent & you won’t find better fries, soft inside, hot & crispy outside. I’ll definitely go back & try some other menu items. Even better than the food, the staff were friendly, very nice to an old retired guy. Great “atmosphere” nice mix of music, classic rock & modern country, even Johnny Cash! Recommend!

Certainly not one of the better BBQ places I’ve been to in the Denver metro – the Mac and cheese is pretty flavorless, the rolls are not great, and the sauces all leave it a bit to be desired and are all very similar. The brisket was cooked well but I didn’t love it due to the aforementioned mediocre sauces and it doesn’t stand up well on its own.

Credit where credit is due: the ribs were excellent without sauce and I love that they carry hogshead beers. It’s not a place I’ll likely choose to patronize again but if someone else suggests it I at least know I can get a good meal in the ribs and a good beer.

Wow! Opening day…friendly, efficient staff, and the food! Brisket was moist and delicious, sausage had just a slight amount of heat and fantastic seasoning, and the ribs were just amazing. Sauces are all very flavorful, and the sides are a nice size to go with the meal and very tasty as well. Highly recommend you check them out!

Great BBQ and very friendly staff! The atmosphere was fantastic and feels like you are at at a family BBQ while you are there.

It’s also a great addition to this complex. I’ve eaten at several of the spots inside the Edgewater Public Market, and this is much better and much faster too!

I would highly recommend a 2 or 3 meat plate, as there are so many good ones to choose from. The brisket is incredibly moist and flavorful and you can get it either in lean slices, or fatty chunks (sooooo good).

Also, try mixing some of the BBQ sauces up! I love mixing the spicy with the sweet to give you a really good flavor with a bit of a kick!
