This was the best birthday meal I’ve ever had. I’m Gluten free and had the chicken parm and homemade gf noodles and wow! We shared the Cesar salad . My friend got the beef bolognese and loved that. 10/10 on everything! Our waitress Meg was outstanding and very personable, made me feel extra special on my birthday. They even customized the menu for my birthday… the music was so vibey, they have everything down to a t.

Absolutely loved our experience at RPM Italian!

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—hostesses, bartenders, our server, and the sommelier were all outstanding. The level of coordination and professionalism across the team was truly impressive.

We arrived early for our reservation and enjoyed cocktails at the bar, which ended up being a highlight of the evening. The bartenders were fantastic, crafting perfectly balanced martinis, and handled a rather intoxicated neighboring guest with remarkable grace and professionalism.

We ended up lingering at the bar longer than planned, soaking in the ambiance and attentive service, before eventually being seated for dinner. Once at the table, our server was wonderful, and the sommelier truly stood out—professional, knowledgeable, and warm, creating an easy connection that elevated the entire experience (I regret not catching her name).

The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the tableside tartare, a frito misto-style dish, and the lobster ravioli, which was absolutely divine.

Overall, it was a flawless evening from start to finish. I can’t wait to return and explore the other RPM restaurants the next time I’m in Chicago.

Definitely lived up to the hype. It was my first time here, but I’ve been to RPM Steak before and loved it, so I had high expectations. We ordered a bunch of apps and entrees to share, and everything was delicious. The bread with honey and whipped ricotta was 10/10. The meatballs are a must! Super juicy and packed with flavor. The carbonara was so good too, definitely one of my favorites. We also got the grilled prawns to share and they were massive. The cocktail and wine menu is solid, and the waitress we had was amazing, super friendly, always checking in, and had great recommendations. The vibe is cozy and a little upscale without being too serious. It works for date night, celebrations, or just a nice dinner with friends. I’ll 100% be back.

From start to finish, this was one of the best meals I have ever had. The attention to detail and quality of the food were simply extraordinary.
The whipped ricotta and honey appetizer was truly delicious—creamy, sweet, and the perfect start to the meal. For the main course, the lobster ravioli was amazing. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the filling was rich, fresh, and bursting with flavor.
Saving room for dessert is a must! The tiramisu and the peppermint sundae were truly out of this world and the perfect capstone to a spectacular meal.
To top off this already amazing dining experience, we had the pleasure of meeting Bill and Giuliana. They are the nicest people ever and took the time to chat, making our evening feel incredibly personal and welcoming.
This establishment sets a new bar for fine dining. Highly, highly recommend!

I’ve always wanted to visit Chicago, and one of the first things I said was that I had to dine at RPM Italia. Being a longtime Giuliana fan and following her story, it was definitely on my list. I wasn’t sure where we’d stay or what else we’d do, but I knew exactly where dinner was going to be!

The restaurant is so elegant, beautiful atmosphere, stunning décor, and the food was everything I imagined and more. Our waiter was incredible! We’re from Florida, and it turned out he was too (from Lakeland, actually). I wish I remembered his name because he truly made our experience even better.

Everything about the evening was perfect. I’d absolutely come back on our next trip to Chicago.

Solid 4 stars! Had the shrimp pasta and carbonara. The shrimp pasta was one of the best pastas I ever had but wish the portion was a bit larger. Tiramisu was great too. Had to sit at the bar and the price was on the higher end, but other than that everything was good and will potentially return.

RPM Italian was a fantastic experience! For the starters we ordered both the honey bread, garlic bread, and octopus, and all three were absolutely delicious. The breads alone were incredible with an excellent crunch and delectable flavors in either. While on the pricier side overall, each of our mains were delicious as well with the short rib bolognese being our personal favorite. Would absolutely come again with friends and family!

Birthday dinner for a friend. I haven’t been to RPM since it opened in 2012. No reflection on the restaurant but Chicago has so many fantastic eateries! Anyway, I digress…upon entering, you learn quickly the restaurant is large with a lot of pockets to dine & entertain with friends/family of all sizes. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. It was Chicago Restaurant Week 2026, so the atmosphere was quite lively and at times, I could see they had people waiting for their tables (or maybe valet)!

Appetizers: Meatballs, Bruscetta & traditional Garlic bread. All were good but the winner is the Bruscetta. It is a MUST TRY!

Dinner: Restaurant choices were plentiful. My friends inhaled their food, so I can only assume it was great! I was able to taste the Roasted Striped Bass, which was very good!

My dinner was the Spicy Dungeness Crab! It comes with Squid ink pasta and Fresno Chili. It was perfection! I will definitely come back soon for that meal.

All in all…RPM is a great place to wine & dine with friends, family & whomever enjoys a good meal and a good time.

Oh the drinks were good as well! My choice was the Prosecco Supernova (Prosecco & Passionfruit). It was very refreshing!

RPM Italian- part of the Lettuce Entertain You group. Don’t forget to get your points! We had a reservation and walked right in and was seated. Staff is very friendly and professional. The perfect amount of service.

We ordered the Rigatoni Ala Vodka and Bolognese. Both delicious. Would highly recommend. We also did the bread service. AMAZING!

It was my birthday and truly everyone stopped by the table to offer their birthday wishes. Menu was customized with my name. We also got a fun little ice cream treat.

Only critique is that The Traditional Martini and Espresso Martini weren’t great. I ended up also trying the Lemon Drop Martini and it was great.

Such a great birthday dinner and a night to remember!!

Shout out to the team for going above and beyond. We will of course be back!!
