Great Restaurant. Service was fantastic as was the food. I had Pad Thai Chicken and Tom Kha Chicken soup as well as great tasting dessert called Banana Samosa with Vanilla Ice Cream. Very tasty! We will certainly go there again!

When Royal Thai had a feature in the Tampa bay Times I knew we had to try! Very happy to say they live up to the hype. Food was delicious. We went for a level two spice on all of our entrees and spice was perfect for us. Also the inside is so cute and has a really cool view of the airport. It’s really is a hidden gem. On the way out the family working behind the counter waved bye to us. I’m so happy we found our new and forever Thai spot!

We were greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly staff. We started with the pork jerky — soft, tender, and packed with flavor. The papaya salad with crispy pork came next, made in the fermented fish sauce style just the way I like it. The glass noodle salad was a good portion and tasty, and the Yentafo noodle soup was also very nice. I asked the staff for condiments to adjust our taste. They offer a wide variety of dishes, making it one of the most extensive / wide selection Thai menus in town. Definitely one of the spot I’ll be returning to!

Royal Thai sets the standard for Thai food in the Tampa Bay Area. The menu is expansive, there are plenty of options to choose from. We enjoyed every dish, spice levels were on point and the food was fresh. Will definitely be back!

Nice small family Thai Restaurant. Great service and a nice menu offering a broad range of Thai selections. The ingredients used are fresh and the food prepared with love. For my pallet, it was a little bit of a miss. The TomKha I tend to like more of a coconut cream version, versus this more traditional version. And the Pad Thai, I felt could have been a little more bold in flavor as I found it to learn quite far toward the sweet side. Overall a nice experience, but I feel I was missing some of that flavor profile boldness I love in Thai Cuisine. Overall, the food was okay as I have a few other places I enjoy more in the area.

I order the tum yum soup the taste was medium spicy, water and lots of sour taste. The tofu was ok the shrimp I added tasted from processed frozen bag. Over all not very tasty. I also taste the number 50 dish the taste was good but the portion for the duck as very small about two spoon full. You have too order the duck dish too get good portions of duck. The Thai green tea was great . Service was great

Good flavors & service. But BBQ Pork was very fatty, Vegetable Pad Thai was lacking vegetables, and Royal Thai Noodles needed a more flavorful sauce.

We had an incredible meal at this Thai restaurant in Tampa! Every single dish we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. We started with the papaya salad, which was fresh, zesty, and had just the right crunch. The chicken satay was juicy and perfectly grilled—but what really stole the show was the peanut sauce. Creamy, rich, and so addictive—we could’ve eaten it by the spoonful!

For mains, we had both the Penang curry and green curry, and they were absolutely delicious. Fragrant, savory, and full of depth. We chose spice level 4 out of 5, and let me tell you—it was fire. Definitely not for the faint of heart, so be mindful when choosing your spice level!

To cool things down, we ordered their Thai milk tea, and it did not disappoint. Sweet, creamy, and perfectly balanced—it was the perfect way to soothe the heat from the curries.

I recommend this spot if you’re craving authentic, flavorful Thai food in Tampa. Just be sure to respect the spice levels! ️

The good: The pad thai was good. However, I prefer a smoky flavor. Their peanut sauce is great. The shrimp was not gummy. Staff was very attentive.

The not so good: The panang curry was not creamy, instead, it was watery. The shrimp selection was not bad: it was not gummy, but there a bigger selection would be a better fit. The air vent in the dinning room was pretty dirty, suggesting that the air filter is not replaced often enough.

Had the best experience here! Food was delicious we tried the flaming drunken noodles chicken satay, mango sticky rice and everything hit the spot! Be careful with the spicy levels they do not play around. 4 is definitely spicy but I loved it!
