We just came in from Knoxville and our first stop this year was Royal!! We came last year and constantly show pictures of our delicious food taken last fall!! Favorites include the steak tip sub, handmade onion rings and finally the scrumptious roast beef!!! Staff was friendly and efficient as always. The Vecchionis highly recommend!!!!

I bought a buffalo calzone, a three-way roast beef sandwich, a cutlet pizza and a wrap. Absolutely amazing. They give you three cups of blue cheese with the calzone. They don’t skimp on anything. Super nice place. They repeat the order back to you. They’re polite. I would go here again and again and again

First time ordering from here as my GF was craving something meaty/seafood.
Ended up ordering:
1) Fisherman’s Platter
2) Sirloin Steak Tips Dinner Plate
Portions – 10/10, a lot of food and makes sense for the cost
Flavor – 10/10, I wasn’t expecting the steak tips to be as flavorful as they were, they must be marinated overnight, but they were cooked perfectly. Same goes for the Fisherman’s Platter….extremely fresh seafood, cooked perfectly, not over done.
Service – 10/10 I ordered takeout and picked it up, but the owner was extremely nice on the phone and when I picked it up.
Will be coming back in the future….amazing food.

Went there for the first time in years. Sadly they were pretty slick overcharging us. I did the math when we got home. A small roast beef, an Italian sub and coke was $37. Ask for a receipt if you go there. Bit into some hard grisle on the roast beef. Never happened before with a roast beef.

I ordered lunch for myself and secretary yesterday Tuesday. We ordered a chicken cutlet sub and a caprese sandwich with French fries and a ginger ale.
The drive got lost didn’t understand our directions, we are around the block.
The chicken cutlet sub was over cooked dry
The worse sandwich I ever had anywhere.
Chicken also didn’t look good.
Will never order from here again.
How can you serve that looking like that.
Awful see picture

I had won a gift card here, so me and my 2 kids went, and omg it was delicious , I got the roast beef plate, it melted it my mouth! That’s the way it should be! My daughter got the steak tip plate and again the tips where so tender and delicious my son got the steak tip wrap and he said he wants to go back and get that again, he loved it! The food portion is huge! We brought food home and had it for dinner! The employees are the nicest ,friendliest people! If you are in the area , I strongly suggest you go there, you won’t be sorry!

My review is on the roast beef sub, because thats all I’ve ordered so far.
Man oh man, it is one good, roast beef sub though. This was not cheap deli roast beef. It was definitely fresh, served warm, and rare. Very tender and not fatty at all. I couldn’t have asked for a better sandwich. It was packed with meat, so you get your money’s worth. Really liked the pickles too. That sandwich alone is worth the trip.

Presentation was great but the bread was hard and the roast beef was just ok

Got takeout every time and it’s been a great experience! The sweet cheese pizza is delicious (though the last time we had it wasnt as sweet). The seafood box is delicious; the fish was cooked to perfection with a nice crisp on the outside and the fish itself was not dry. The tartar sauce and onion rings were also tasty. We also got shrimp scampi and chicken garlic butter pasta, both of which came with a garlic bread. On one occasion it came with a full garlic bread and the second time it only came with half. Both times were takeout for dinner. The shrimp scampi was good but a bit more on the sour side. The chicken garlic was also good. I love how the ratio was perfect, not too much pasta for the amount of sauce/chicken/shrimp. I’d recommend royal, especially for the sweet cheese pizza or seafood box.
Edit: Do NOT recommend the onion rings. We got a large box and it was so greasy we ended up tossing it. It soaked through the box, bag, and the 3 stacks of newspaper we put underneath to try to absorb. Not only were they greasy but they were soggy and bland.
