Mmmmm this is so good. I was craving Hawaiian food and this really hit the spot. I ordered a sweet garlic chicken and it’s everything I was hoping for. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy.
The Mac salad isn’t too ngán (translation: easy to get sick of) here either. People say the wait takes forever but it took maybe 10-15 minutes with several orders ahead of me. I think that’s pretty good for made to order! And for the price??
The crispy chicken and katsu are on the drier side. The kalbi and garlic chicken are so good and I recommend them!
Cashier accidentally gave me an extra scoop for mac salad for free. Hehe I am blessed.
Also, Hawaiian Music is kind of very much a vibe and I feel so happy here. Banger after banger.
9/10

Awesome menu and the foods full of flavor!
Just revisited on 12/14/25. Everything was good besides the kalbi ribs. Cook needs to pay better attention when cooking them cause this was the 2nd batch that came out burnt.

Let me start off by saying I’ve been in the service industry for 23 years and a bartender for 14 years. Naturally I’m patient, I get it if you’re slammed, you have a ton of orders, or a mix up happens with an order. That’s totally cool. No worries. It happens and it’s not a perfect world. There was one persons single order ahead of me and it took 30 minutes for me to get my chicken katsu with 1 scoop of rice and 2 scoops of Mac. The rice is already in a rice maker so it’s hot, Mac salad is cold, and it shouldn’t take 29 minutes to fry breaded chicken. I socialize with my co worker when I’m working, but I’m also WORKING at the same time and not standing around bullshitting and cussing on the floor of the restaurant. 3rd time coming here, same experience as the last few times. Got treated like a total haolé. The Beaverton location was great when I went years ago. Don’t go here. Go to Ate Oh Ate. Costs a little more, but better portions, better food, and way better service. The girl offered me a free fountain drink and at least gave me a very small little portion of Mac when I asked for that instead of a soda. Total disappointment. Aloha fools

I’m not sure why the reviews are so low on this place. I’ve been to Roxy’s all over the Portland area and this has the same set up & same timing as all the others. What’s different about this one though? The food is genuinely the best example of Roxy’s there could be. Of course there are going to be long waits for the specific menu items that are listed with a clear 25m wait time. As far as the online ordering system goes… I didn’t use it, but if it’s such an issue, maybe just call in? Overall I’ll definitely be back.

A great place for Island food. If you like Hawaiian cuisine, this is your stop. Be forewarned all dishes are cooked to order, so if you’re in a hurry, this isn’t your stop. We had the “lau lau” and it broke da mouth. Same with the Loco Moco. If there was one closer to me in Tacoma, I’d be there multiple times a week.

I normally enjoy Roxy’s and know when we order there is a 20-25 minute wait but it’s worth it and I usually get it to go and today when we checked out food the Mac was drenched in the orange chicken sauce and we had ordered double Mac so they charge 1.50 more and it was disappointing that it was drenched in sauce as it took the flavor away! I wanted to call and let them know but it was late and but the time we got home we didn’t want to return.

My seemingly healthy sandwich was placed in a puddle of oil. Soaked the bun and wasn’t fun. Tasted ok but sure wasn’t appealing.

Big sign says made fresh to order expect a wait. After my wait of 25 minutes my chicken came to me and it wasn’t warm and seemed undercooked as well. Ive never had freshly cooked food that wasn’t hot. The cashier, while polite, couldn’t answer me as to what the difference were in the chicken options and couldn’t suggest an option for spicy. The floor was sticky even though there were signs indicating it was just mopped. All of the sauces were in dirty and sticky containers. The Mac salad was a huge disappointment.

We order online regularly here. They’ve since changed their online system to some garbage called bentobox. Evidently, despite opting out for marketing emails, I was signed up for it anyway. Additionally, every other Roxy’s location allows you to “split plates” with different entrée options. Not here, no longer – thanks bentobox!
There isn’t even a custom tip option anymore – 10%, 15%, 18%, no tip. It’s a shame – food here is excellent. I’ll be ordering from the McLoughlin location from here on out, but frankly I might skip out on Roxy’s entirely.
Edit: and today’s char siu chicken was also not great.

Ordered via door dash. Food arrived fast and fresh. We ordered the sweet garlic chicken, teriyaki chicken w/ fried noodles and some large side orders of katsu chicken, and pineapple chicken (to keep the order cheaper I just made rice at home which saved about $5 per entree) We enjoyed the food – mostly reminded me of teriyaki with a slightly different twist. I would order from again and keep it cheap just making rice and noodles at home again
