I absolutely used to love this place and would frequent this place quite often as they had the best shrimp ceviche. Unfortunately, they decided to change the recipe and now have this sweet mango ceviche instead of the citrus, spice forward one they used to have. Had the new one once and never again. Not sure why they would change something for the worse or at least offer both options. Would come here at least once a week and literally haven’t been back since they changed the ceviche. Here’s hoping they bring it back some day.

Overall Average. We ordered 3 burger lobster , lobster soup, tuna bowls, plate of oysters and cockles.
Burger lobster quite tasteless and the portions of the lobster given were very generous.
Oysters were fresh. Cockles we don’t like the sauce. Is Mexican sauce that we don’t appreciate it. Inside Tuna bowl have brown rice and vegetables but the sauce is too much and spicy l.

Roxy & Jo’s Seafood Grill at The Original Farmers Market is an absolute treasure. Their lobster roll is hands down the best in LA buttery toasted roll, packed with generous chunks of fresh, sweet lobster, lightly dressed to perfection. Every bite is rich, flavorful, and simply unforgettable.

But what really blew me away was their lobster bisque. It’s creamy, velvety, and packed with deep lobster flavor — the perfect warm-up while you wait for your roll. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to savor every spoonful.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the casual market setting makes it even better. You don’t need a fancy sit-down restaurant when you have quality seafood like this.

If you’re a seafood lover, Roxy & Jo’s is a must-visit. Lobster roll and bisque combo = perfection.

Some amazing seafood nestled in the Market. The crab cake with brown mustard on top was probably the best I’ve ever had. The clam chowder was amazing, and a little spicy even; really wonderful. Fish tacos were also nicely cooked. Overall a great experience.

Craving of Fish and Chips would definitely be satisfied here. The Crab Cakes are also a great side dish to try! Will be visiting again soon!

We stopped by this seafood joint with New England vibes on a whim. Fairly pricy but the quality was good. Enjoyed the fish & chips, which have relatively thin breading and well cooked fish inside. Comes with tons of fries, tartar sauce, and pickle spears.

Lobster roll was pretty good, with a super buttery brioche roll and creamy dressed lobster meat. I felt the portions were appropriate for the price and it was a filling lunch. We took most of the fries back home for leftovers!

Good Poke Bowl at what they call a Farmers Market, at the historic location of the first LA Farmers Market, but is now a pricey food provider incubator.
My friend ordered their hyped crab cakes, which were not good or properly made. There should not be an outer breading layer, it should all be incorporated, then dusted, but that outer layer broke off when cut. I tried some and there was an odd vinegar flavor, and not tasty. Oddly, when we told the Manager how bad they were, he thought I was joking. Told him several times before it finally sank in for him, believing they were incredible.
Slow service, no chopsticks, really not trying I would say, just charging too much.

Lovely people, great service, and flavorful plates !

Tried their Spicy Tuna Bowl and their Grilled Salmon Tacos and they were delicious. The smell and plating is enough to make your mouth water.

One of the best places to grab food in the Farmer’s Market!

Amazing service!

Von and John were super friendly and very pleasant to talk to.

We ordered fish and chips. The food came out very fast. It was so delicious! Loved the addition of the pickle spears on the side. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve eaten a myriad of lobster rolls. The toast used in this lobster roll was extremely thick and took away from the roll. There was definitely more roll than meat. A much thinner roll would be better. The lobster meat itself lacked flavor. However, the fish and chips as well as the grilled tacos were tasty.
