I was ravenous when I arrived at the Newton Rox Diner. My lovely wait person was very attentive towards my food allergies and provided fast, friendly service. My lunch, salmon with salad and rice, was fresh, pretty and very delicious. The restaurant is clean, the staff was very nice and the prices are reasonable. Because I was there on a Sunday, the municipal parking lot next door was free of charge… even better!

A tad pricey for a waffle at $12. But food was overall really good. Staff were excellent and friendly.

We stumbled across this restaurant before a hockey game and the service was exceptional. The waitstaff couldn’t be more helpful and eager to ensure that we had a great experience. Food was excellent! You have to stop in and try it out!!

Found a hidden gem at Rox Diner in Newton Highlands. The Belgian waffle is homemade batter, my son said it was awesome. Crispy breakfast potatoes and crispy bacon. The cheeseburger was to die for, sirloin with a smoked cheese and bacon on a handmade brioche roll grilled to perfection. Prices are affordable, portions huge and the staff was awesome. Highly recommend.

We went to this place based on the 4 star review online and shocked at the high rating. I ordered a bagel and lox and it was the worst that I have ever had. I was handed a plate of grocery store bagel, tomato, capers, cucumber and smoked salmon all disassembled with a tiny Philadelphia cream cheese packet. I asked for another and was charged extra for a packet that could not even cover half a bagel. Everything was placed randomly on top of spinach( which was not listed on the menu). Disappointed I paid 16$ for a bagel I had to assemble myself for low quality ingredients. Would not recommend coming or ordering the lox. On top of that the OJ was not fresh squeezed as I could see the machine on the size that was not used

I eat here a lot with family and friends: it’s near where I live and all now have a favorite dish there. I wasn’t so keen on their tomato bisque soup, but have enjoyed over 15 other items on the menu.
They recently received their beer/wine license and there’s something so nice about sipping a mimosa out on a pretty patio with loved ones.

This breakfast and lunch restaurant is homey and offers an extensive menu of both breakfast and lunch items. The prices are reasonable and portions generous. They have vegan friendly, gluten-free as well as the typical cafe fare. Something for everyone.

So glad to see the Rox Diner reopen in its new location on Hartford St (Lincoln Sq). Big improvement to the neighborhood. Nice job on the breakfast/lunch bar and the new seating arrangement. Food @ the Rox has always been fresh & delicious, this new location’s atmosphere is bright & clean and the service is fast and friendly. We’ll be back (many more times)!

Amazing food! They even have high protein pancakes that taste exactly like regular pancakes. The ingredients are fresh. We come here rather regularly and I have loved everything on their menu. (shoutout to the burgers, breakfast sandwiches, salads, clam chowder, and pancakes.)

The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. This is a fantastic spot for anyone seeking a locally-owned breakfast or lunch destination. It’s also very child-friendly, and I can’t wait to return!
