Neighborhood watering hole since 1906 offering local beers & regional grub, plus arcade games & TVs.

Wonderful staff, warm atmosphere, great food and drinks. Not much more you can ask for, really. Perfect spot for a brunch mimosa (or breakfast…) and more. I was expecting standard bar fare and I was blown away by how good the food was. I think the bacon wrapped potatoes may have altered my standard of potatoes for the rest of my life. Cannot recommend enough. Make sure to read the “water gets hot” stickers on the mirror when you are in the bathroom, though. They are NOT lying.
Parking is a little difficult especially with the snow. You may have to find street parking further down and walk to the restaurant.

We were in Cleveland for a work conference and wanted to take in some of the local sites. We actually came for both, the A Christmas Story house and museum, and Rowley Inn. My wife was on a tour and the guide mentioned that Rowley Inn was a great local place to eat and had been featured on Guy Fieri’s Triple D. After visiting the museum, we stopped in for a late lunch. The food was Delicious and the beer selection was plentiful and great! The poutine with kielbasa was amazing with the peppered gravy! I really enjoyed the dish that Guy ate that’s featured on the menu and my wife had the perogies with corned beef. The beef was made in house and was so good! We got the bread pudding for dessert and it was equally as delicious!! This is certainly a local treat to eat at and I hope I find myself in Cleveland again just to eat here!

Very nice food! Gluten free options. Unfortunately GF = less food for more money. Very tasty, but slightly disappointing to get one piece of bread in place of a hoagie and having to pay extra for a side to replace the fries. (Polish boy sandwich)
My dad liked his Reuben and the Polish boy was tasty.

Amazing little place! Ended up meeting some friends here and randomly picked this spot. Wasn’t expecting much since it seemed like a standard bar and grill joint with mid food.
But wow! Portions were large, prices were fair, and the food was absolutely delicious! My steak was perfectly cooked to order, and the burger was very good. Will have to come back again since they had some very creative and interesting sounding burgers.

The drinks were affordable and good, and there was a plenty of variety. The staff are absolute pros! And were friendly and always as attentive as you wanted them to be. They seem to know when to ask if you need a new drink, but also won’t interrupt your conversation. We didn’t get full meals, just shared french fries. And they were good. It’s also an LGBTQ+ inclusive and supportive place, evidenced by their decor. Just a great neighborhood bar! We highly recommend starting or ending (or starting AND ending) your visit to the A Christmas Story Hoise with this place.

Everything was perfect! Every time my family and I come to this play, it’s always a good time, from the drinks to the food and service; everything is a 100%. I will definitely keep coming back here.

Going back! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS, AMAZING AUTHENTIC FLAVORS FROM THE AREA! And right outside of the “A Christmas Story” visitors Mecca! Can’t go wrong! Drinks are perfection too! I wanted to stay & hang out with the locals & drink & eat my way through the menu while we chatted & laughed things up!

Sunday brunch here is excellent, and, if you’re looking for a truly unique & genuine Cleveland original, i think the Rowley Inn would be hard to beat…

Nice smaller Bar & Grill. It doesn’t have all the fancy lighting, wall art, furniture to make you think you’re dining in a shmoozie place. But what it does have is originality that’s paying respect to its roots and many years as a Bar & Grill in a Blue Collar, Ship Yard Town ..
CLE!
We were kindly greeted and were seated at a table that I’m sure has had many Beers knocked over while stories and laughter were being told.
The menu was interesting and food choices unique.. everything read so deliciously it was hard to pick just one.
So I decided on the CLE Shrimp & Grits. I was in Heaven after that Grits. I was in Heaven after that first bite! The smoothness and cheesiness of the Grits, the subtle crunch of the fresh thinly cut strips of Red/Green Peppers, the sweetness of onion, the slight earthiness of the mushrooms, and the spicy but flavorful small bite of Hungarian sausage slices, that were all married together in a wonderful sauce and topped with perfectly cooked tail on shrimps and crispy bacon. It was a Kaleidoscope of flavors in my mouth that brought me to my comfort place. Oh was that good!
I could only eat half and brought the other half home.
