When we came in, we were quickly greeted and seated at a booth and they treated us like family. I had truthfully been missing some good quality filipino food and this hit the spot.
We ordered the lumpia, lechon kawali, pancit bihon, sisig and halo halo for dessert. Each and every item was well made and just like home cooking. Great portion sizes and honestly can’t stop thinking about the sisig.
We chatted with Rowena a bit and she even treated my son like family.
The food was amazing, the vibes were great and we will be coming back more often.
Leche Flan. Our app & dinners were made fresh from scratch. It did not take long at all. The food was all hot, fresh, and delicious! Be sure to get the Leche Flan! Unbelievably delicious! Our server (who was also the hostess and chef) was so helpful explaining the menu items. I can’t wait to go back and try more. Be sure to try this hidden gem in Arnold. Winner!!
This was a hidden gem- I’m so glad we listened to the other online reviews and tried it. We are going to be come regulars.
Listen to Rowena and order what she suggests. This was the best damn Adobo pork I have ever had.
The service was great. The ladies working there (owner?) were so incredibly helpful and sweet. Food took a minute to arrive but everything was hot and fresh when presented.
I’m sure my wife will want to go back and I’ll probably grab an “American” dish
Last night Jonathan and I were finally able to celebrate Valentine’s. It has been a pretty crazy few weeks. And I just wanted to share our experience at Rowena’s Diner and Bar in Arnold. It was absolutely the most perfect night. We arrived to an empty restaurant (breakfast and lunch service are their more busy times). They immediately welcomed us in like family (we had the babies with us too). They introduced the options and made sure that what we ordered was something that we would like. They offer a combination of filipino, Italian and American fare. Everyone has a different pallet and they understand and respect that. We got the large Lumpiang for appetizer. They are like an egg roll but delicious in their own right. Jonathan got Chicken Adobo for his main, a juicy roasted dish and I got Pancit Palabok which is a noodle dish with a complex citrus seafood sauce. Both were phenomenal. They really made sure that i was comfortable with the flavors before I ordered, which was so kind. The kids devoured spaghetti and meatballs, which I tried them and they tasted so good. For me it was a nostalgic sauce flavor that just made me feel like it was the 90’s again. That might sound crazy, but that’s my review. Desert, we did Halo Halo and Cassava Cake. Halo Halo is an experience and delicious. The Cassava cake is the wife’s special recipe and also delicious. The whole ambiance was like going to a close family friends for super. It was truly a one of a kind date night. They even put Tom and Jerry on the tv and sat down with the kids to watch it, so that we could enjoy finishing our desert. If you live in the area and want to do a special date or just check it out 1000/10 recommend. It is all home cooked food and worth every single penny. I’m excited to check out there breakfast and lunch options too.
Quick friendly service, but food takes a bit to cook, it is made to order.
They have a sink outside the restroom to clean hands, I always like that!
My wife got Paksiw na Pata, she enjoyed it. I asked for wings well done, they were pretty solid, came with hot sauce and a smoked honey mustard.
