I’ve been coming here for several years, and I’m still amazed at how fast their service is—sometimes I feel like my food makes it to the table before I do! The food is nothing short of amazing. I crave it and it’s well worth the drive.
My only small gripe is the cup size; I wish it wasn’t a small so I wouldn’t have to get up multiple times to refill my drink

If you’re near Jackson-stop at Rowdy for huge portions, a delicious menu, friendly/fast service and live music. Prices are more than fair for what you’ll be served. My loaded tator took up half my plate! Must go!

What are blast! Best Brisket I’ve ever had. Melted in my mouth.. incredibly fast service. At first I was worried I could not park my 24 foot RV but there was plenty of parking around back.
My wife had the sampler.. I sampled some of that as well.
Portions are generous and a bargin.
I highly recommend Rowdy’s for great family fun.

First time getting a steak here. It was delish. Cooked perfectly, juicy. Got to see Logan Halstead play and he was really good too!

Rowdy’s catered my sister in law’s wedding. We’re from the Columbus area where barbecue joints and trucks are everywhere, so I didn’t have that high of expectations given Jackson is pretty rural. Boy was I wrong!
The pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket were delicious. Perfectly cooked, not dry, great seasoning. Probably some of the best we’ve had and we’ve had barbecue all around the US. Can’t praise it highly enough.
The sides:
Macaroni and cheese was a bit dry, though I know that can happen with pasta catering orders because pasta absorbs so much liquid. The flavor was good though.
Potato salad was pretty bland. Mostly potatoes and mayo. Could use a punch from some pickles, onion, and celery or celery salt.
Baked beans were standard recipe and good. Same with the coleslaw.
Hashbrown casserole was AMAZING. The type where you’re so full but still take another bite because it’s so good. I could eat it every day and never tire of it.
Overall, a solid place, especially hidden in a smaller Appalachian town! Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Rowdy’s is just as it says nothing fancy, very casual place for barbecue chicken, pork they have brisket. They’re a wonderfully lively atmosphere with friendly staff Happy people good place.

This was a really fun environment. Seasoning on the brisket is really good but a bit salty and spicy. It adds a different twist than most BBQ restaurants.

I will say the environment somewhat lives up to the name. Very lively place. I was most impressed with the brisket, which was smoked to perfection, juicy and fatty just like it should be. Wouldn’t surprise me if the owner was a Texan. I also had a rack of ribs, and they were equally delicious. Green beans and cheesy taters for sides and unsurprisingly, delicious.
I wouldn’t mind coming back some time without the kids to enjoy the bar which appears fully stocked. I’ll have to leave a separate review and hopefully I don’t get a chair broken over my head. We were here ~ 5:30 – 7pm. It was busy when we arrived, but were still able to find a table. Highly recommend.

If you’re on the road and looking for a genuine smokehouse, you just found it! The food we ordered was all really good! I loved the blackened chicken breast. It was full of flavor and juicy. My husband says that the grilled pork chop was fantastic! The ribs were slightly dry,but everything else was spot on. Just make sure that you ask for regular metal silverware to handle your entrees;) Plastic forks and knives just don’t do the trick 😉

We got our food to go but the restaurant was great! The staff was very friendly! I wish the nachos had more cheese or maybe even some bbq sauce because they were dry. The pulled pork and chicken sandwich was good! I recommend asking for extra bbq sauce if you order to go tho.
