Saw a new spot opened up here so decided to give it a shot. The biscuits and gravy were good. The biscuits were fluffy and pillowy thick with big chunks of sausage gravy. Egg over medium cooked to perfection , with there home fries which are more like fingerling potatoes but fried as good as it gets..just needed some salt.
The waffle was good nothing to write home about. Now to the eggs Benedict. My wife loved everything about them except for the runny whites.
Service was good but a little slow but hey for a new spot.what do you expect? I was apologized for the long wait and overall.customer experience was great. Just it’s new and probably gotta work a few kinks out and I’m sure they’ll get better. As for now I wanna rate them a 3.5. Stars but Google doesn’t allow for half stars. I’ll give you a ratings of 4 stars and revisit again soon and hopefully update you to 5 stars. Update just went back and everything was great! Food was as good as it gets the service was awesome . Solid 4.5 stars so wil rate 5!

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning with my fiancé. We thought they had a good menu for both sweet and savory breakfast options. I went the sweet route with my strawberries and cream pancakes, and my fiancé went with the Mother Clucker. The waffle, bacon, sweet potato mash, and the side of corned beef hash we shared were all delicious. My fiancé was a bit disappointed as he asked for his eggs over easy, but they came over hard instead. Though the food was good overall, we waited about 45 minutes for it to get to our table. However, they‘ve only been open about a month, so we tried to be understanding. Our waitress was very attentive about coffee refills though!

Update: 05/03 Ordered another eggs benny, everything was cooked well. Eggs not traditionally poached but white firm and yolk runny. Hollandaise was good! Potatoes could use a little more seasoning. Would be willing try again!

Ordered an eggs benedict and the egg whites were runny, the hollandaise split. There was a strong taste of vinegar. Homefries were bland. Baja burger had little sauce, the fresh veggies were nice but overall just eh. The potato salad was quite bland as well. Everything could have done with a bit more seasoning and salt.

So glad we came here for brunch. The portions were huge, price was great and our server was attentive. So many great options on the menu, already looking forward to coming back so I can try the barnyard chicken sandwich! The wife and I got the mother clucker (once it came out I realized why the menu said ‘we dare you’ The plate off food was not only delicious, but the portion had me taking half home! My wife’s biscuit and gravy was loaded with sausage and tasted great! Wishing this new spot great success, it’s nice having another option for a breakfast spot in town.

Overall ok experience.. had heard the reviews were great but it didn’t seem to match our experience. OJ was great, corn muffin was the most dry/bland muffin I’ve had, meals were fine. I didn’t feel there was anything special about the experience. Waitresses were friendly but forgot our drink/food order quite a few times and had to re-ask a few times.
I wouldn’t not recommend, but I also can’t rave about it.

So far I’ll give it a 4. Food was good. A little cold. I’m not sure if they microwaved part of my dish but that’s what I think. Anyway overall it was mostly good. Toast was a little too light but the taste was great and the home fries were really good
Oh yeah it’s a little pricey $$ but that’s the new norm in ct. Sales tax is nuts

Very busy, they seem to manage to serve delicious, generous portions of breakfast with their own spin on it.

Example: biscuits and gravy. Imagine a huge portion of crumbled sausage, with a large dollop of gravy mixed in so it just wets the sausage, dropped on heavily buttered flaky biscuits with eggs (I had scrambled) and side (I had mashed sweet potatoes).

Good coffee, too.

My wife and grandkids had pancakes. Really solid, delicious, properly cooked and delicious. Highly recommended. Bacon thick sliced – order it extra crispy.

Kelly was our server today, and she was incredible. We ordered the biscuits and gravy meal, the mexi scramble, and the hungry rooster with chocolate chips pancakes. The biscuits and gravy are so delicious. If you are looking for good southern or Midwestern biscuits and gravy, this is your spot. The potatoes are crisp and flavorful, and my over medium eggs were perfect. The Mexican scramble was very big but even more tasty. The fresh ingredients are what really sets them apart from other breakfast places. The hungry rooster was ordered for my 2 kids to split (ages 4 and almost 7). It came with 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs, homefries, and toast. The pancakes were perfect. There are not too many chocolate chips, and they cook them in the pancake (so little mess for the kids or us to clean up). We also ordered the fresh orange juice, and it was perfect. Not too sweet, not bitter, light pulp (if any), but very yummy. This was our 3rd visit to the Rowdy Rooster for breakfast, and we look forward to many more as well as trying the lunch menu!

The food wasn’t very good
We waited to long because the receipt machine ran out of paper and the kitchen didn’t get it right away. They offered us a blueberry muffin. Cantaloupe Crush was amazing along with the muffin. I ordered a fitada spinach and things first on the list. Wasn’t cooked correctly. My girlfriend homefries were over done. They weren’t even busy….

Got the patty melt… barely edible. Home ‘fries’ on the side (they don’t have French fries). Potato salad must’ve been in the refrigerator too long… Not great either. This place must not have a fryer or a soda fountain. When I ordered a soda I got a can, and a glass of ice, so no free refills. For how many pretty good restaurants there are in the immediate area, this place should step up its game.
