Went there last night and ordered like 6 things lol. Everything was amazing. Red beans and rice was like being back at mom’s house, fried catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried, rice perfectly cooked and fluffy. Staff is amazingly welcoming and makes you feel like you are about to have a great home-cooked meal. You can tell the owner puts soul and love into this place. Take a date night and visit and make this place a staple for Gallatin!

Breakfast decadence! Fresh beignet breakfast sandwiches were amazing. The andouille sausage kicks perfectly against the fluffy, slightly crisp, and sugar-dusted pastries.

A wonderful independent restaurant for those who are sick of the chains, this made me homesick for somewhere I’ve only visited.

Outstanding lunch! Authentic food and products from New Orleans! Tasty Creole dishes, gumbos and etouffe’s and the good stuff. Good authentic dishes made right. Beignets, po’boys, even the “why did I eat all of that” expressions after dining

So sad, this place did not live up to my expectations. Being from Louisiana we were excited to try. However, we will try it again in person because I feel that eating it via Uber Eats isn’t a fair way to judge. I will say we ordered a $3 side of fries and we got 6 French fries so that was annoying and weird (bag was sealed). The gumbo was good and the catfish poboy was fine. I never like a beignet that isn’t Cafe Du Monde but we couldn’t help ourselvesit wsd buy 1 get 1. Was ruined me at a young age by cafe beignet and cafe du monde. haha. But their beignets were mostly decent. (Again, cold because Uber eats so geated by microwave). We will have to try again when food is served hot and I bet we wouldn’t get 6 fries then!

The service was horrible. The prices we were charged did not match their menu board. They said their prices went up and did not update their prices on their menu board. We paid $6 more that what was on the menu. That is extremely bad service to charge more than your prices posted. The young girl that took our order was extremely rude. We ordered two waters with our meal and they charged us for two bottles of water. I said we just want tap water. She said they don’t serve tap water. I said fine I don’t want to pay for bottled water but, she said it’s too late and she already rang it up and she can’t refund anything. We had the po-boy shrimp it was nothing special. The shrimp was overcooked and dry. It was on a grilled roll that was not very fresh. It was an ordinary sandwich. Nothing New Orleans style at all. The atmosphere is very dark. Not very clean. Our table was dirty and not wiped down. Very disappointed. Checked off my list of somewhere not to go back to. Save your money and go somewhere else to eat.

A friend of mine wanted to eat here on Fat Tuesday of 2026. I ordered the 2-piece Fried catfish and a side order of Gumbo, a piece of King Cake, and Luzianne Tea (half sweet/ half unsweetened). After you place your order and pay for it you grab a seat/ table and they bring the food out to you. There was only a short wait time for the food to be brought out. My Gumbo, fish, and Tea were delicious. I was very satisfied with the portion size of the Gumbo. The King Cake was good but a bit dry and my friend said the same thing about her piece of cake. The server said the cake was from a box and not made in-house, but we both enjoyed it because we rarely find it. I got to sample a bite of “The Debris” and the meat and its sauce tasted so good and my friend said the same thing. Would love to come back in the future and order “The Debris” or try some of their other Cajun dishes.

I wish I had more money just so I could eat here every day. The catfish po boy is the main reason I even walk in the door. If that’s not your thing, you may feel differently than I do about the place. But the bread is the best you’re gonna get in town. I have them 4 stars on food because I’ve asked for the sandwich fully dressed and received it without pickles on 3 different occasions! I have eaten there over ten times now lol. (Someone said they run out often. I hope that is the case and not negligence…) The staff rocks. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, the cooks are on point, and the vibes and atmosphere are great (some of THE best overhead radio in town) I hear the Cuban is really good, too! I hope to make it in time for brunch one day…

My wife and I stopped in after a Google search for open restaurants. Roux’s was a fantastic choice, I couldn’t recommend it more.

The lady who works the register and floor is one of the sweetest souls we’ve met, and the gentleman in the kitchen is very nice and a magician.

I ordered catfish and onion rings. The catfish had the richest flavor and best texture of any I have ever eaten, anywhere. The onion rings were the perfect level of crispy with a strong, sweet flavor.

My wife had a roast beef po’ boy, and the meat had a unique, rich taste. With fresh, crisp veggies. She kept stealing my onion rings .

Seriously, Roux’s and it’s staff is an amazing little place, with great food, staff, and fair pricing.

Don’t think, just go! Roux’s is Southern Fat Man approved!!!!

Being from New Orleans, we tend to be a little critical when a place claims to have “real Cajun food”. However, Roux’s did not disappoint! The fact that they bring in a lot of their items from Louisiana was a huge positive. The food tasted amazing and the atmosphere made us feel like we were back home. We cannot wait to go back and try something else. Two thumbs up from This Cajun!
