An absolute gem of an upscale neighborhood restaurant! Every visit (and there have been many) has been nothing short of exceptional. The specialty menu is creative and perfectly executed, each dish feels thoughtful and unique, never gimmicky. The crafted cocktails are some of the best in the city: balanced, inventive, and made with real care behind the bar.
What truly sets this place apart is the service. The bar team and servers are genuinely warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever being stuffy. They are welcoming, make great recommendations, and make every evening feel special. Whether you’re perched at the bar for drinks and small plates or enjoying a full dinner at a table, the experience is consistently outstanding.
If you’re looking for a refined yet welcoming spot with incredible food and drinks, look no further. Already counting down the days until my next visit!

Great food, atmosphere, and service! I proposed to my girlfriend here and the staff, especially Lindsay, were supportive with the whole process for it. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent! Our first time visiting Roux and I was very impressed. The atmosphere is cozy with art deco architecture and dim lighting. Our table was waiting for us on our arrival and service was great. Craft cocktails and appetizers were fantastic. We had the Whipped ricotta toast and Potted chicken & foie mousse. They were both outstanding. The chicken cutlet and steak frites au poivre were very good. I’m going to make the frenchie cocktail at home because it was awesome. Thank you all for a great evening with our friends. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

We had a great experience brunching at Roux this weekend. Our server Keenan was so lovely, answered our many questions, and had the best vibes. He recommended the autumn hash special and it was sooo delicious full of fall flavors. We loved the truffle scrambled eggs and the maple cardamom bacon was out of this world. Finished with lemon blueberry cake by Brenda and it was full of fresh blueberries. So wonderful. The vibes and atmosphere are wonderful, great decor and cute character. Everyone who works there is kind and sweet, we are big fans and will be back soon. The bathroom is tiny and not accessible (down a few stairs), so be prepared for that if you have accessibility needs. Otherwise, an absolute smash!

Roux on Park Ave was just a phenomenal experience, honestly. Every single thing we had… apps, cocktails, mains… was fantastic with absolutely no misses. The vibe in the place was perfect too… warm, lively, and just really comfortable to be in. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality is there, and it felt completely worth it from start to finish. This was one of those meals where everything just landed exactly right.

Delicious French-style meals and great service.
Dessert was too small.

One of our favorite spots on Park Ave! Really well crafted cocktails and the special’s are always great. Excellent Management and service. David, is an awesome server. I loved the steak, chicken cutlets, the duck, ricotta toast, the salmon, and more! We will continue to take our friends here for brunch and dinner. A WONDERFUL SPOT!

Somehow I’ve managed to never visit Roux before- I realized tonight that’s been a tremendous loss.

Briefly- this place is excellent on all fronts and certainly worth a visit!

Service was efficient, kind, and very helpful- I really like when the staff can provide their own personal recommendations. The cocktails were unique and quite delicious. Although not the best espresso martini I have ever had (that goes to Fin Point, in Boston, MA), this is the best I have had in Rochester. The Frenchie— let’s just say, this was enough of a reason to visit again.

Appetizers were excellent- the mussels, again, are the best I’ve had outside of New England. The ricotta toast was perfect and the duck was beautiful with a nice citrus flavor. Everything we ordered was perfection— from portion size, preparation, flavoring, and textures.

This will surely be a place I plan to visit very soon. I can’t get over a place like this is in my own backyard! Prices are extremely reasonable— and the ambiance is relaxed, understated, sophistication.

This is an excellent place for a group or a special night out-

This place is extremely overrated. the food was very bland and way to expensive for what you get. The fish had no seasoning and taste like nothing. the steak was ordered to medium, but was received blue rare, how do you not know how to cook steak?. The sausages and grits was very drab and only came with 2 tiny Vienna sausages. They had the audacity to charge us for bread, which I thought was complementary. if you like bland French food, then this is your spot, otherwise try another restaurant in the area. i don’t normally leave reviews, but it needs to be known that this place is hot garbage.

We came here for brunch and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive, and two out of three dishes were cold. I ordered the Shakshuka, which came with what seemed like half an egg in tomato sauce and little flavor. When I asked the waiter, he wasn’t sure if it only came with one egg and offered to bring another — which took another 40 minutes. By that time, my dish was completely cold.

Although the waiter offered to reheat it, it was still served cold again. In total, I waited about an hour and a half while everyone else had already finished eating. When I explained that I no longer wanted the extra egg due to the long wait, I was still charged $6 for two extra eggs (although he said he would bring one). When I went to ask why there were 2 eggs charged he replied by saying ”I am not taking anything off the bill”. I must say, one of the eggs was later removed from the bill though in a rather ironic manner. Our cappuccino and latte also arrived cold.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the service was extremely slow and the waiter handled the situation unprofessionally. If the waiter had handled the situation better I wouldn’t had left this review, however professionalism is key when working in customer service.
