Yes, it’s in a gas station! No, it’s not a bad thing…in this case anyway. Lovely waitress named Chloe. She gave us excellent service. The cheese curds were really tasty. One of the best patty melts I’ve had and hubby really enjoyed his Route 88 burger. We dipped our fries in their delicious homemade ranch dressing as it was suggested in the reviews and we didn’t regret it. Had a very fresh garden salad as well with this dressing called Dorothy Lynch which I can only describe as a zesty French dressing? Idk but it was good. Saved!

I ordered the American breakfast. Two eggs, hash browns, bacon and sourdough toast. I also ordered a coffee.
The food was good. The entire time, I was at the restaurant, there were no other customers. So my order came up about 5 minutes after I placed it.
The restaurant is clean and the employees are friendly.

I ordered the famous Route 80 Burger that was highly recommended, and it was absolutely awful.

The patty was extremely thin, dry, and tasted old — like it wasn’t fresh at all. For $15, this was completely unacceptable. I even left a $2 tip, which I honestly regret.

I’ve been living in the United States for five years, and this is the worst burger I have ever seen and tasted. I wouldn’t even take it if it were free. That’s how bad it was.

If I could give -10 stars, I absolutely would.

Very disappointing.

I usually don’t stop to eat but I ran out of food and this dinner had great reviews. The food was great and the waitress was friendly. Definitely will be coming back. It’s a cute little dinner you have to come check it out.

Decent food, got the skillet. The skillet was good and the white toast. Pancake was okay. Service was good, and coffee was hot but not burning mouth hot which I like. There are some better places but a lot of places that are worse.

I was greeted and sat immediately. The kids that were working did an incredible job. I ordered a Day N Nite Burger. It was cooked to literal perfection. I had sweet potato fries as a side, and I was FAR from disappointed. Also the presentation of my food was immaculate. My server was VERY attentive and checked back almost immediately after I received my food. I will absolutely make it a point to stop in again anytime I’m passing through. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience FOR SURE.

Side note, for the burger, upgraded side, and a drink my bill was $22. Very good price for the experience I had.

Quiet little spot. There were very few people in during my visit. My waiter was great & I had a steak that actually wasn’t overcooked. I’ll Mos Def be back to get my grub on again.

So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa.

There is a changing table in the men’s room! Good background music stayed at background volume, easy to hear each other despite a full section (ours was the only populated section in the middle of the afternoon).

Menu is classic comfort diner food; The Prime Rib Dipper was amazing due to 1) it’s hard to mess one up, but also 2) they piled on the onions and cheese, and buttered/toasted the hoagie before assembling The sweet potato fries were also great.

The prices were pretty standard, which in 2025 is to say outrageous but let’s put the blame on broader economic forces and not this particular establishment. $51 after 20% tip for two adults and a toddler, with only one +$2 upgrade for the sweet pot. fries.

Massage parlor attached to neighboring hotel shares parking lot with restaurant. Wasn’t a problem, but if you want to know, now you do.

So this place used to be Max’s diner, and I haven’t been here since it changed ownership. But I’ll tell you if the old place had to close, this place ain’t going to last very long.

My server was okay. He was quick to get me seated. Checked on me one time when I got what they call food, but never offered to refill my drink. He handed me a tablet when I paid my bill and I couldn’t give him a tip because the tablet glitched.

I ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. The pickles themselves are very low quality budget pickles. You take a bite, and you can’t bite it in half because they’re so rubbery and the whole pickle slides out of the breading. They were almost $11.

I ordered the fish and chips, which was ‘more chips’ than anything. $19. I’ve never ordered fish and chips and only got one piece of fish but whatever. I asked for extra lemon, and they gave me LEMON WHEELS. HOW IN THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO SQUEEZE LEMON WHEELS? ANOTHER RESTAURANT OWNER THROWING PROFITS IN THE GARBAGE.

My server asked me if that was enough lemon. I told him “well I was sort of expecting wedges, something I can squeeze” and his response was “oh, well that’s how we cut them”. This is the type of lemon that you put in iced tea or water, not for food. I’m already seeing extreme penny pinching from the owner of this place at this point, but what he apparently doesn’t understand is he’s losing money, not saving it.

The French fries, were your typical Frozen shoestring fries that come in the big brown bags.

Just overall subpar ingredients and low food quality.

I submitted a copy of my receipt so you know what you’re walking into. I think the decorum is the same as the restaurant prior, but like I said, these guys are doing all the wrong things. I bet you the next time I come through here, they’ll be closed just like the last place, that had pretty food.

I hate subway, but I think i would have been better off ordering there or something from the hot case inside the Flying J.
