Stopped here while passing through on way back to seattle. Really appreciate the diversity of beers available (I was able to get my favorite style, a saison!), the food was great (outstanding fried pickles), the service was good, and the vibes were great (they were doing a cool event to “kick the keg”, with discount beer, a raffle, beer trivia, and more. So fun!)

Came here the first time on Father’s Day and then came back the second night. We sat ourselves and waited on promptly. Waitress was friendly and got our drink order quickly as well. I asked to try a few beers, which she brought and settled on an amber beer, which was great. And then I had an Irish nitro stout, and that was great. First night, I had a burger, and onion rings both were fabulous. I wanted a chicken Ceaser the next day, and my wife said hers was great and should go back. They have a Ceaser and you can add your protine. My son got the turkey club, and he said it was everything he wanted. A good amount of meat and bacon and fresh lettuce and tomatoes.
There is plenty of outdoor seating and limited seats inside. When I’m in town, I’ll come back!
We’ve been back to Monroe several times, and this is a go-to place for us. Still friendly, happy to let you tast the beers. My soon usually gets the chicken tenders and I like trying different things and the Cuban did not disappoint!

I love this place! Having two little ones 4 and under it can be a challenge to go out to eat. Route 2 is always family friendly and they go out of their way to make my kids feel welcome, which is so nice to experience when you’re a stressed out mom! The food is great, they have a ton of beers, ciders, and other beverages on tap and the staff is all-female from what I can tell. We visited just yesterday for an extra special Santa Brunch which was a fantastic event. My kids won’t stop talking about it. They deserve all the stars!

When we arrived at @route2taproom, We were greeted by friendly staff that made our family (dogs included) feel welcome. They informed us that we would need to sit on the patio, and they had the heater on before we even sat down.
We spent our visit on the front patio area and have no complaints. It is by far the least interesting part of Route 2, but we were content and had amazing service. We hope to come back and spend some time in the taproom.
It is modern, rustic-themed, and quite large.They have more than a few TVs on the walls with the taplists and games on them. They also had an additional patio space through their restaurant towards the back. This space was much larger and offered bier hall and lounge style seating, complete with umbrellas for shade, and cornhole set up to play
We paired a Beach Cat Pilsner with a Chicken cheesesteak and a Boundary Bay Hazy IPA with their “Grilled Cheese on Crack ”. All were delicious. It was the perfect reward after a long hike.

Friendly staff, small, no frills dining area. The food wasn’t tricky but not great. The Mac-n-cheese was bland but the quesadillas were excellent. Lots of beer options, thus the Taproom, no spirits and limited wine options.

A friend of mine, well to be honest, my ex of 13 years was diagnosed about 3,4 months ago terminally ill. He’s been a founder/ regular at the Route for some time. When healthy, it was his home away from home. That being said, he’s cultivated and maintained some great friendships w/staff & patrons.
A week ago this A++++ staff (Stephanie, Amy, Kelsie & others) combined a trivia-brewers night w/his cousin Matt, owner/brewmaster of Stanwood’s SAAL Brewing Co. in his honor. Staff combined private donations, tips & profits tapped from SAAL’s ‘Robert’s Red’ to help my ex with his surmounting medical bills. Such genuine kindness, generosity, love & appreciation for him!! That’s definitely a local business I want to support whether I drink or not.
Super fun & chill atmosphere w/indoor and weather permitting outdoor seating. They have an active fb page for goings-on and events as well as a web site to see what they have on tap.
That being said. Their loaded tots are quite tasty and if you ever have an opportunity to be there when they run a special for the mushroom swiss burger BUY IT! Do not pass go!! It’s SO delicious. Can you tell it’s my fav?
Side note for ice junkies: ( meaning, I love ice. Love it like, if you don’t have ice in your freezer? Don’t take it personal, but there may be something wrong with you.) Route 2 ice is the super delicious, compact, tiny ice cubes like tacotime has and I’m living for it. They also provide your table with a fancy water bottle to make refills easy.

Super Genius
For a strip mall bar/taproom this place kills it. The food is tasty and the service is fast. Hit it up anytime of day and I’ll bet you have a swinging good time. They have an outdoor patio and there were even some cute pups out there enjoying the place. Might be the best strip mall experience I’ve had since Venice beach.
