I ordered the chicken vindaloo and when asked said I would like it very spicy.
It arrived in a smallish pot with only lumps of chicken in a pinkish sauce, it had been in the pot a while as there was a skin on the surface of the sauce.
The sauce was not spicy and pretty tasteless, no sign of any chillies or any other spice for that matter.
The chicken was tough, dry and it had not been marinaded.
The restaurant itself is very nice and
the staff are very attentive and friendly.
My advice to the owner is to throw away the jars of mass produced sauces and hire a chef who can cook.

Delicious food and lovely staff! The restaurant has two parts, one part is near the kids playground you can have diner outside and watch your kids. Upstairs they just openend a new part, which looks nothing like downstairs. It feels like having dinner in a fancy castle. The owner is very nice and recommended the butter chicken, which was lovely. He explained that a lot of local have dinner at his restaurant, we understand!

Roti never disappoints. You know that fresh ingredients are used the moment you pass by or sit down.
We usually start off with poppodums and onion baji. Felt like being a bit more daring last Saturday, and we decided to choose something different than the usual Tikka Masala. We had the Prawns Tawa and the Lamb Rogan Josh. We will definitely be trying out new dishes next time round, since the flavours of each dish are unique. Butter naan is always a staple in our order – melts in your mouth!
Big ups to the chef and staff for always giving us a great culinary experience. Cannot recommend this little gem in the south enough!

Outstanding Indian restaurant gave us one of our best meals of our holiday. Had just finished off an extension of their restaurant but was yet to open, but let us eat there as the usual one way full. Felt a bit strange being the only people in but the staff kept popping in to see how we’re were doing. Both starters and mains were full of flavor and spiced well, with amazing soft naans. Would have gone back but only went towards the end of our holiday.

We are regular customers. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated to a high standard. It has really friendly staff. The owner Jay gives personal service and he is really professional and passionate about the delicious food. A must try for anyone visiting Marsaskala in Malta

Absolutely amazing.
The food is “finger licking” delicious. So good that I came again for more the following day!
The owner and his wife are sweethearts, very friendly and they know how to suggest what you should try according to your taste, in case you are not familiar with Indian food.
And to put the cherry on the top, they have delicious homemade ice-cream, I highly recommend the mango
If you are in the area it’s a must visit!
You will not regret it!

What can I say? This place has become my goto place for lunch and dinner whenever we feel like eating outside or takeaway.
Service has always been excellent. The food is also amazing (have almost tried all the menu multiple times) and always arrived in a timely manner.
Great suggestions/advice has always been given whenever we are not sure on what to get or if a particular combination could be better than what was chosen.
Years on, it has kept its consistency and honestly can say that i still enjoy the food!

Possibly the best indian restaurant on the island. Variety of dishes, from popular indian dishes to ones which you do not find in any other local indian restaurant like the stuffed okra and more. Also very nice people managing the restaurant. We always order food online for take away pick up and can’t wait to be able to visit the new and larger restaurant.

We were there, we ate there. A pub with tasty Indian food. The portions were very large, we could barely manage. The service was very nice and helpful. An interesting fact is a virtual menu that can be viewed after scanning the QR code. It’s very helpful. I recommend!

We went to Roti restaurant for dinner, but it was a disappointing experience. The butter naan tasted like a frozen paratha, the dum aloo Kashmiri was just boiled potatoes with sauce, and the veg biryani had almost no vegetables. After seeing so many positive reviews, we expected much better — but honestly, the food didn’t match what those reviews described. Hope the restaurant improves the quality.
