Went to this restaurant based on the ratings, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. There were no other customers when we ordered, yet it still took 15–20 minutes to get our food. On the bright side, the food was served hot.
The falafel wrap was a bit oily, and the Nutella dosa is worth trying only if you’re a big Nutella fan. The paneer sandwich was okay—nothing special.
Overall, it was an average experience. I wouldn’t highly recommend it unless you’re really hungry. Also, the restaurant’s name board could be larger, as it was hard to spot the place.

I was craving Indian-style chicken in a sandwich, so I went searching on DoorDash. I specifically wanted diced Indian chicken in a panini, and I was shocked to actually find a place that does that! It’s such a specific craving, so I was excited when I came across Rote Shaq.
I ended up ordering the Chicken Tikka Pizza, Chicken Tikka Panini, and Paneer Panini. I ate them over the next few days, and let me just say–the sandwich reheated beautifully in my mini oven and wasn’t soggy. The food was packed with flavor and completely satisfied my craving. My favorite was the Chicken Tikka Panini, but the pizza was also delicious! The Paneer Panini was fresh and flavorful. The sauces it came with were a nice touch. One thing that could make the sandwiches even better is if they came with house-made fries or another fresh side instead of a bag of potato chips.
They also have some interesting fusion tacos that I didn’t try this time, but I definitely will next time!

Delightful little halal restaurant in the heart of downtown. We tried the dosa tacos, chicken Tikka panini sandwich, rice bowl, and the chicken Tikka wrap. Everything was flavorful, had a distinct taste, and was served hot and fresh.
The restaurant had ample seating, and the staff is super nice. Keep it up, guys!

I really wanted to try this place because the menu looked good. We went out of our way to come here and I was a little disappointed. It was just okay. I got the pizza because the cashier recommended it. It was just okay compared to other Indian pizzas I’ve had. I couldn’t finish it and took it back to the hotel. I ate it for a couple days. My husband’s food was better than mine. He had one of the rice bowls.

Was craving dosa. Ordered potato masala dosa, potato masala sandwich and chicken tikka pizza. They were out of sambhar. The potatoes in dosa and sandwich were the same and were kinda pretty bland. Definitely can add some spice. Sandwich was pretty good. Chicken tikka pizza was disappointing. Didnt like the flavoring of chicken. Service was good. Paid street parking or paid parking garage. Seating is limited inside.

Really tasty Chicken Sandwich. I love how crispy the bread is. The sauces that came with the sandwiches were very delicious! I also really like the fusion twist of dosa tacos. The dosas were thick enough to accommodate some fun flavors. Also appreciate that they provide halal meat!

The food was delicious! The dosa tacos are amazing and I can’t believe no one else is doing it, what a great idea! They were so tasty and the sauces were just a perfect addition to the tacos. We also got a sandwich too but the star of the show was still the tacos.
