If you find yourself wandering this side of the galaxy with a craving for true Mexican flavor, Rosita’s is a delightful stop. From the moment I walked in, the Force of friendliness was strong — great service with genuine smiles that could rival twin suns at sunset.
The chips came out warm and crisp, practically lightsabers of crunch, paired with a flavorful salsa bar that lets you choose your destiny — mild to spicy, smooth to chunky. My quesadilla was simple, cheesy perfection, with fresh lettuce, crema, and crumbly queso fresco on the side.
The atmosphere was bright and festive, banners dancing overhead like flags of the Rebel Alliance — colorful, cozy, and family-friendly.

First time trying out this place and never again going back!
Waiters were young adults, I get it everyone must start somewhere however these waiters rushes us while ordering, Not giving time for questions, she kept assuming that was the official order. Customers were not priority.
A simple chicken tacos was so salty. The salsa bar not good and offered can chunky salsa that taste the best! After reviewing the ticket, I noticed each items was a sperate charge verses a platter/meal. On top of pricey lunch, this place charged my card twice!!!

Great food, good family environment, relatively fast for a sit down place and if you’re looking for good Mexican food without tempting your sobriety with a XX or Margarita definitely check it out!!! They don’t have much of a food selection, but what they do have is legit! Not sure if it’s just because they haven’t received a liquor license but they don’t serve alcohol as of 8/7/25. Unfortunately their salsas resemble those from a jar at Sam’s club but they do have a choice between Mild, Chipotle, Spicy..etc. Not a deal breaker for me because their AMAZING tortilla chips were flawless BY THEMSELVES. 110% best Tortilla chips in WNC!!! I’m sure this place will only get better as it goes!

I saw this place online and through the reviews, it looked like the food was good because it was originally a food truck before it became a restaurant. We came in as a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed their food. As a daughter of a Mexican family, I can say this place is worth it and authentic. Would definitely come back again on our next trip 🙂 I got the chilaquiles with salsa Verde and chicken, as well as 2 tacos de lengua.

I have been here twice for lunch, both mid-afternoon. Truly great. But order the specials that the other restaurants don’t have. The risk will be worth it!

Me and a buddy stopped at Rosita’s for lunch and we left absolutely stuffed. I ordered the biggest molcajete I’ve ever eaten and my friend ordered one of the weekend specials carnitas. We added in a few extras such as a Modelo negro, queso dip and a bottled Mexican coke. The whole experience was fantastic, their staff was very friendly and attentive.

We moved here 10 years ago from California and have been looking for great Mexican food since then. We have been to practically every Mexican restaurant in the area looking for good authentic food and have been disappointed, until now. Rositas is legit. Great Mexican food, hand made tortillas, fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. If you’re looking for the queso covered crap they serve in wnc then this place is not for you, but if you are looking for real Mexican food then you have to try Rositas.

Would have gave a zero if I could have. We arrived approx 5:30 on Sunday 10/12/25. 1 table was all that was in the place after we were served drinks and beans and chips 5/7 mins took order perfectly acceptable our server took 20/25 plus mins to ask if we would like our water refilled and more beans and chips. Still no food. The sauce station looked like hurricane Helene had just hit. This was not because they had been busy in last hr or so plus because we had just passed 2 times prior 1 hr and again 40 mins prior. Then we were served on dirty bowls by this time approx 35/40 plus mins had passed and we had enough. We got up and left offered to pay for 2 lemonades that grandkids had and chips and dip out of kindness. Never did get drink refills or food. And I was looking so forward to trying their brick and mortar location. What a disappointment been many times to their food truck and will be back to. And in my opinion tk best in town Mama Rosita needs to know what is going on and I wish her the very best. Because as I had stated again food tk best in town. But brick location will never survive with service like that. Don’t know about food as we never got to try. Plus it may even take the food tk down with it if don’t improve soon. What a shame best of luck Rosita.

Everything was great, we had sopes and tacos and both were amazing, the lengua was def my favorite but the marinated pork and the chicken were also great. Overall amazing addition to the food scene in Asheville.
