Bad bad place to go. “Crispy” tacos were soggy and falling apart. 1st time I thought it was because I had them the next day. Today I had them again, only 5 minutes away from me. Same thing. They are not “crispy” taste like store bought taco shells. I don’t recommend, save your money. Might as well have gotten a salad with ground beef. Sorry I won’t be back.

Husband and I went to Rosie’s for lunch. This was our first visit. I suggest grabbing a take out menu that’s on the counter, have a seat and read it carefully before you order. We decided to split a buritto. Good thing cuz it was the size of my husband’s forearm. It was fresh and delicious.
On another note, the place was very clean, the staff very nice and polite and service was quick.
I highly recommend Rosie’s.

First of all, the place is super clean inside and out. Everything is fresh and new. The chorizo burrito is one of the best I’ve ever had. The tortillas are absolutely amazing! I got a side of refried beans just to try them out. I did not care for them. They tasted like they came out of a can, but I know they didn’t. Some people up here till like them. I would never order their beans again. The prices are phenomenally affordable and the customer service was pretty good. They are very stingy with their hot sauce, so you need to ask for more for a giant burrito. The red sauce will burn a hole through your stomach lining. It was really good, but it was pretty hot for me.

First time being here, I ordered the special which was chicken nachos. There was some guacamole and sour cream on top and the chicken Was good but no cheese discernible or beans

Very dry and I had to request salsa. I got a small size of green and red when I should have gotten at least three of them each. If I had eaten at shop I would have returned and asked for something else.

Staff were less than enthusiastic to say least and no one was in there besides me.

I got one carne asada taco and one shredded beef taco. They were both good and I like the green sauce.

I love Rosie’s and it’s California style Mexican food! I usually hit them on Tuesdays for Taco Tuesday and they never disappoint! The girl behind the counter, I think her name is Jasmine, is always attentive and efficient. She makes me laugh with her Energizer bunny attitude and service! I only wish their queso had a little spice to it, but I just cut up the jalapeno and mix it in! Taco Tuesday special pictured below, comes with a drink, $7.99.

Updated review, two days later, lunch.

I don’t usually give less than perfect reviews, but I can’t seem to find a contact for corporate. I gave a rave review a couple days ago for Taco Tuesday and Jasmine. Today, I can understand all the negative reviews about service. I usually come in the evening and will never come for lunch again.

I called before coming to the restaurant to ask what kind of fish is in the fish taco. The girl seemed unsure but said flounder. Because of her hesitation, I asked her if she would please make sure it wasn’t tilapia. She then told me tilapia and flounder are the same. I asked if she could please double check because I don’t eat tilapia. She hung up on me. I tried to call back but she didn’t answer. I pulled into a parking lot and looked it up on the website, and it said flounder. Yay, I thought.

Despite her unprofessionalism on the phone, I still stopped by for a fish taco combo. I think the taco had potential but was overcooked, or maybe the fish had just been sitting and dried out.

As I watched her interactions with three people in front of me and two people after me, she never once said thank you, welcome, how was your day? Nothing. When she wasn’t actively taking an order, she was on her cell phone. Not totally a big deal, but she could have wiped down the cheese and spilled food on the counter or dirty tables, or maybe wiped down the beverage station, or maybe even taken the dirty trays from the people that were sitting there having a business lunch.

I was appalled a couple days ago when I saw the reviews about rude service here. I’ve always had Jasmine take care of me and there’s never been an attitude problem. I totally get the reviews today, sadly.

I’m sorry if this is employee is part of the Rosie’s familia and it sickens me to write a negative review. My thought is that if you don’t know it’s broken, you can’t fix it. Normally I would call and talk to a manager but I looked for a contact number for corporate and did not find one.

I ate at Cotija in San Diego for more than 20 years, and now I eat at Rosie’s at least once a week. This level of service makes me sad.

My first visit and I WILL BE BACK! The house made salsas, rice and beans are different from most AND I LOVE IT! The tacos are great too… each one that I tried…beef, carnitas and grilled chicken. Got two steak breakfast burritos to go for my boys also!

Arizona quick service Mexican – this type of restaurant really exists for carne asada fries, and similar, half authentic, home grown meals.

I’ll take this over los favoritos and definitely over Filiberto’s. Can’t name a better quality/dollar ratio off the top of my head for carne asada fries. Can’t speak for anything else, and won’t bother trying anything else. Cheap rice for the kiddo.

Better value proposition, but also higher quality meat in general, more fully loaded carne asada fries ( I haven’t brought out the scale but I haven’t felt the need to order extra fries like I would at similar establishments.)

Could benefit from cleaning the outside. There’s been a concrete bag laying juxtaposed to the drive through for weeks between my first two visits. These kind of things show lack of care/passion by owners and workers. Gilbert is generally a well manicured city, and this corner of the world sits between two pretty rough parts of Mesa and Chandler when traveling north/south. This corner is one of the bright spots, but has to be held to the highest standard when considering the east/west route.

Unfortunate miss for what I’d consider a higher tier establishment. With strong competition for QSR Mexican, we’d be better off upgrading the fili-bs of the world to something more like Rosie’s, without having to pay the price associated with quality of Fredericos or vaqueros

Honestly, you can get better food at Filiberto’s and spend less. The customer service was decent, but the quality of the food didn’t match the price. I wouldn’t recommend this spot.

Wow, there are some very spoiled people here. They want food brought to their table when it’s clearly not that kind of service. There are no waiters, but even then I’ve seen them do it even though they don’t have to. People really complain about everything, what’s missing is that customers want the cashiers to put food directly in their mouths too. As a customer, when you order, you should be on the look out for your own food. Don’t just wait for it to be brought to you. The cashiers are also minding their own business, doing the job their really supposed to.
I hope these guys get paid well or get a bonus for having to put up with these people.
Service is good, some customers are not.
