I am an avid consumer of the oatmeal pancakes with blueberries. They are always delicious and SO filling. Everyone in my family requests them whenever they come to visit. Gooey butter cookies are unbelievable and a can’t-miss dessert. I’ve never had a disappointing meal from any Rosie’s location. I would be doing a disservice to future patrons by not mentioning the stellar service provided by Garrett. He is the absolute best server I’ve ever had at any restaurant. He is attentive, easy-going, and kind. A trip to Rosie’s is the perfect way to start the day!

We ordered a cake from this restaurant for my grandparents’ anniversary, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. After cutting and serving the cake to eight people, we discovered hair in two separate slices. The cake itself was also very dry and lacked flavor, but after finding the hair, I couldn’t eat any more.
We returned the remaining portion of the cake to the restaurant, only to be met with a rude and unprofessional hostess. She argued with us over a few pieces being missing—even after we explained that the cake had been served before we found the hair. After showing them photos and returning what was left of the cake, they only agreed to refund half the cost, and only after a frustrating five-minute argument. I would also like to add the hostess even refused to let us speak with a manager and tried to blame the hair on us. I have never once experienced such an unprofessional place of business in my life.
This kind of handling is incredibly unprofessional, and after this experience, I would not feel comfortable eating here again. I sincerely hope they take cleanliness and customer service more seriously going forward. I’d also appreciate if the staff could keep their hair out of the food.
And before eating here I’d consider patachou, or first watch. Their food is a lot better and staff is a lot more professional!

Rosie’s Place in Carmel is a spot that’s always packed, and no one can argue that. It’s definitely a popular place.
That said, the overall experience is pretty average. The food is fine but nothing special, and the service ranges from average to not great, depending on the day. I’ve been here many times, mainly because my partner really likes their oatmeal pancakes, and that’s honestly the main reason we keep coming back.
In short, it’s a place that’s good, nothing more . Popular and reliable, but it doesn’t really stand out compared to other options.

It was my first time at the Carmel location. Honestly, I expected more from this location but the hype didn’t hold up. We ordered their chicken sandwich, breakfast egg and potatoes along with a side of buttermilk pancakes( my fav from Rosie’s). I did get a Gooey butter latte for coffee☺️this came with their famous gooey butter cookie. Also tried their coconut cake, it was tooooo sweet for my taste. Overall, it was an okayish experience because of the rush on a weekend morning I guess

Our last morning in Carmel, Indiana right after a tiring (but fun) wedding meant we needed to grab breakfast before heading to the airport. This led us to Rosie’s Place – a cozy place classically reflective of the cafes and diners of USA’s suburbia.
As you enter you are greeted by a selection of the daily specials from the bakery section. Upon being seated we ordered omelettes in a variety of ways and huevos rancheros. Although the portions were larger than expected, the flavours were all present!
A delightful little place that is a must try if you ever happen to frequent Carmel.

How can a place have bad pancakes and bacon? Pancakes came out burnt, but even if they didn’t I feel like they would still taste bad. I don’t know if I’ve ever had bad bacon in my life but here I definitely did. Absolutely horrible place and will never come back.
Update: it shouldn’t have even made it onto the plate burnt. Also, I highly doubt the high quality ingredients. Something tasted bad in both items. Like they were expired or sitting out. You couldn’t pay me to come back here.

10/10 service every time. food comes quickly and is always yummy. MUST TRY THE GOOEY BUTTER COOKIES!!! Super dog-friendly seating outside!! they have treats for dogs you can purchase and free water for them as well. favorite breakfast spot in Carmel!
