Angel’s Island Coffee opened its doors in January of 2007. Just two years later it was voted “Best Coffee in North Alabama” and “Best Specialty Food and Drink” in a contest run by WHNT News 19. At the young age of 23, Angel Hussain saw her dream of opening a coffee shop finally come true. As a child, Angel lived with her family in Fiji where they served as missionaries for over 10 years. This is where she learned her coffee craft and came to love the community that developed around it. So along with her father and business partner, Allen, Angel’s Island Coffee was born out of a desire to serve the very best coffee while also creating a place for people to gather, relax, and connect with one another in a welcoming community atmosphere.

We got a drive thru order with two vehicles in front of me. It took about 5 minutes total to get to the window, place and receive my order, and leave. The lady at the window was super friendly and very appreciative! We got a medium pineapple-mango smoothie and a large dark roast coffee. Both were excellent! If you need a quick pick-me-up check them out! We will definitely be back!

Fortuitously, I came across this delightful small coffee shop while staying at a nearby hotel and wanting a specialty coffee or drink, and this place was ideal. The local smart and hipster set seem to hang out at the place, and the service was efficient. When in Huntsville and wanting to support a local coffee shop with a friendly positive vibe, this spot should not disappoint.

After coming here as many times as I have, I thought it was about time to share my review… 5 stars!!! I love this place, the coffee is amazing, I personally love their ice cream drinks (sunkiss is my regular). My mom and I come here about every week now and love the environment, coffee, and service. My favorite server is Elise! She just has a very fun, bright attitude that always makes my day! I always look forward to seeing the lovely workers here. They make the environment so warm and welcoming. I 100% recommend giving this place a visit for anyone who loves to support small businesses, drink delicious coffee, and need a nice environment to catch up with family and friends or work on projects or school/work assignments. Anyway, I hope everyone reading this has a wonderful day!

I am so happy I found this place! I was looking for a place to work while my dog gets groomed (Dapper Dog Spaw nearby is also awesome…); and I happened upon this adorable coffee shop and have been coming back ever since. It’s the perfect little spot to work for a few hours with delicious coffee and food, treats, etc. The service is also great. Highly recommend! Also, even though it’s small, there seems to be seating available whenever I go as a lot of people get their coffee to go. It gets busy but not overwhelmingly so. Love it!!!

I visit this coffee shop quite frequently, always through the drive‑thru. While I appreciate the convenience, I’ve noticed a recurring issue that has really affected my experience.
Whenever I choose not to leave a tip, the food I receive is consistently disappointing—either stale, missing ingredients, or simply not made correctly. Simply asking what I want and handing it out the window does not call for a tip, and it should never affect the care put into preparing food.
Tipping is meant to reward exceptional service, not to guarantee basic quality.
On top of that, the prices are already steep which makes it even more frustrating when the product doesn’t meet expectations. Customers should receive the same standard of food regardless of whether they tip or not.
I don’t believe the owner is aware of this issue, but it’s something that should be addressed. Consistency and fairness are key to building trust with customers, and ensuring that every order is prepared properly—tip or no tip—would go a long way in improving the overall experience.

Went to this coffee shop first thing this morning and it went really well! Very friendly staff,fair priced and quick service! Not to mention the drink I got was super tasty!
