I honestly love this place and frequent it since it’s close to my house. It’s nothing special but the service is always good and the food is good too. I’ve tried a lot of things off the menu (I try to get something new everytime) and everything I’ve gotten has always been good. It’s good comfort food and they even have an Indian section which I’ve tried and it’s delicious as well. The decor is kinda old school with a collection of different things that makes it feel homey. It’s definitely not a place you want to go if you’re looking for something fancy but if you’re looking for good food and good service this place is it.

I’ve been here multiple times with family. It’s a delicious classic American feel diner during the day, serving amazing claic American food. In the evening it is a delicious Indian restaurant that has a varietyof cultural food.

Let’s get into it. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience.

The service was cold and unorganized from the start. We had three different servers come by asking if we were ready to order or wanted drinks, and none of the interactions felt welcoming or friendly.

As for the food, it felt like corners were being cut. I ordered a sausage, ham, and cheese omelet with hash browns. The omelet came out with Kraft cheese slices melted on top. At this price point, using sliced processed cheese instead of shredded cheese seriously hurts the presentation — and presentation matters. We eat with our eyes first, and this didn’t look appetizing. The hash browns were overcooked, dry, and nearly burnt. Halfway through eating, I found what appeared to be either a dog or cat hair in them. I didn’t mention it because I honestly didn’t want a replacement.

The décor has a cute country-style idea, but the lack of upkeep ruins it. There were boxes and dust around, the tables were sticky, and the booth upholstery was falling apart. Overall, it didn’t feel like pride was being taken in the space or the experience.

One thing that really stood out was the orange juice — $4.95 for a small glass that tasted like Tang, not fresh or even real orange juice.

To top it off, the check was dropped off with the food, which made it feel like they just wanted us to eat and leave. Had I looked at the bill before eating, I probably would have sent the food back because it wasn’t worth the price.

Overall, this was disappointing, and I definitely won’t be coming back

Breakfast food was so so, not bad, but not great.
Service was excellent.Always there to fill your cup with coffee and take your order.
Restaurant was older and run down a bit. Tables could use a good cleaning. Eclectic type decorations.

For a little hole in the wall place the Food was good, very friendly staff. I went early in the morning around 7am I think and not many people. The only thing I didn’t like was that you can’t order lunch in the morning I guess I got used to that at other places. I worked overnight and would get off around 7am and wanted lunch or dinner not breakfast. And I really wanted to try their curry dishes and they didn’t have a Curry option for breakfast. But the breakfast was good, will definitely try it again.

The red, white and blue Rosie’s sign on busy Auburn boulevard in Citrus Heights is your signpost for good food. This standalone restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rosie’s shines with good food, served in a well-worn, kitschy interior, decorated with plastic flowers and cardboard boxes. They have an extensive menu which is broad if a bit bland. While most restaurants serve three egg omelets, Rosie’s are made with four eggs at very competitive prices. Their meals are large and delicious.

The Rosie’s family also has another location on Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova.

Quaint restaurant that somehow feels small, but is actually quite large. I was only passing through, and had some time to kill, so I looked for a good sit-down breakfast. The portions, food quality, and service were absolutely top notch, I saved this place in my Google maps in case I’m ever back in the area!!!

My experience at cafe’s varies from state to state in my travels. A rare opportunity for me to have work available somewhat local to home (the greater Sacramento area) has caught my eye searching for a breakfast eatery at Rosie’s Country Kitchen.

Well, what a treat. The breakfast menu item prices are better than most breakfast spots ranging from $9.99 and up, under $20. I had the least affordable and filling combo (Burger and 3 Egg Combo, comes with Hash Browns or Country Potatoes & Toast) that I can ever find in the area. I really appreciate that.

The service: I was (as well as other customers) were treated so kindly as our wait staff came around all the tables to refill drinks every so often (more often than most resturants) and the food presentation and delivery are great and fast. It looked good and simple and came out within minutes. Everyone can appreciate that.

The ambiance is very cozy, with an eclectic collection of decorations ranging from Tea & Coffee utensles, cups, pichers and bowls.
Rosei’s also has an Indian Food Menu that starts at 3pm daily. (If i have the opportunity, will give that a try).

I give Rosie’s Country Kitchen a 5 Stars rating… on everything. Especially keeping in mind, my brothers and sisters in the Military and such as myself and those who have served with a veteran status. They HONOR Military and Veterans with a discount. Bravo… no wonder why i see such other positive reviews for this place.

When it comes to classic diner food in citrus heights, you can’t beat this family owned spot.
I’ve been coming here longer well over 10 years. They survived the covid times, thank goodness. I almost always get the chicken fried steak and eggs.
The staff is super friendly. The decor is charming. If you are a fan of the old fashioned diner experience, come check out Rosie’s ❤️

This is a remarkable place. Greasy decor! Lots of seating for any size group. Very clean well kept diner. Staff was prompt and friendly. The sugar is not in packets, important to me. I use too much sugar love the pour sugar.
