We came to Rosey Baby after my daughter visited Mississippi State University. She’d been asking for crawfish, and they were right on time good. I ordered the alligator starter, shrimp combo for my aunt and I, and then my mom had the catfish platter. All of the food we ordered was amazing, along with a great host. As soon as we came in, we were greeted and seated.
The only recommendation is to ask if you can sub the white rice for something else.

I love this place….feels like home. Food was comforting and the fishbowls are to die for. The real cherry on top was that I drank three fishbowls and they let me drive myself home. If that isn’t service I don’t know what is! Will definitely come back.

Food was good but I over heard a “manager lady” saying some very not too good things about an employee. Like evil things…She didn’t know she was talking load enough for me to hear. YIKES. I can guarantee if you heard what I heard you would NOT eat there and definitely wouldn’t want my kids working there! Maybe upper management needs to step in and take a good look internally. YOU HAVE A BAD APPLE…IN “MANAGEMENT” NO LESS!

We arrived at 12:50pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Only 1 other couple was there. Our waitress was nice but new to her job. Drinks came fast but but food took over 30 minutes to deliver and it was hot. My daughter ordered the seafood boil and it was cool. I had shrimp tacos and they were cool when delivered. Flavor and seasoning of the food was great. I’ll chalk this one up to midweek trainee. I would definitely give this place another try but during a busier time of day or weekend. Loved the decor and Atomphere!

It’s a bar restaurant atmosphere. With a Mardi gras theme throughout. A great selection on different beers and drinks. The food is good and the service very friendly.

Food took an hour. Red beans and rice… rice was hard, dish was cool, red beans and sausage ok but overcooked. Fried catfish, very good. French fries good. Wings awful. Crawfish etoufee edible but not great. Cajun pasta with crawfish so thick it tasted like eating a plate of thick flour sauce. Our waitress was very sweet and apologetic for our food taking forever, never saw or spoke to a manager.

Visited Starkville on business and invited my coworkers to Rosey Baby, as I enjoyed this establishment during my time (20 years ago) at MS State. I ate gumbo and experienced the worst case of food poisoning that you could imagine. I ended up calling an ambulance to my hotel room at 3am to see if I was dying. I called the restaurant the next morning and reported the incident. I asked the manager to have the owner call me but never heard from them. Couldn’t make it to my meeting the next day and needed an IV when I made it back home to replenish fluids. Beware.

We love Rosey Baby. It is a must stop every time we come to Starkville.
The cocktail menu is amazingly versatile and the craft beer selection is HUGE.
Tonight we had the Rosey Burger, Cajun stuffed ribeye, red beans and rice, and Cajun quesadilla. WE ATE EVERYBITE.
For dessert we had our favorite the beignets, and tried something new the strawberry butter cake. Can’t wait until our next visit.

The crawfish nachos were amazing, and I loved the creole sauce on there. The daiquiris were really good, and the blue Hawaiian was my favorite. The shrimp were pretty good.
