From the first bite, I was taken by the conviction that this is one of the best restaurants. The period at the end of the last sentence is no mistake! “Local Tomatoes” as a menu item could mean tomatoes being served with far too much augmentation, or too little. I learned on that first bite: at Roses, it means no more and no less than exactly what will bring forth all the food’s goodness. The only restaurant in my area of Michigan that I would compare is Saffron De’Twah; if Roses were in Chicago, New York, or anywhere else I would go each trip. So while I’m grateful to live nearby, it’s worth traveling for and I hope we’ll all keep this gem thriving!

Perfect, intimate spot for our Valentine’s date! Noa gave phenomenal service and the chefs built mouth watering dishes. Will be back for our next date night

Incredible!! 10/10, loved the atmosphere and food! Great staff and great experience! Will be back again and again!

Our favorites: nachos, potatoes with sour cream and mushrooms, the burger, and the mousse dessert!!! Everything we ordered was also very tasty!

It’s no wonder why they won best new restaurant, it’s like a deep breath. From the moment you walk in it’s like you stepped into another world, one where the community is making food and you hear laughter from down a few tables. The space is small and yet full of treasures all around to keep your eye wandering all night. The food was phenomenal. We have tried food all over the world and this felt like a warm hug.

Have some patience, take your time sipping your drink, and soak it all in. The service will have to keep up with the buzz but at the same time, it’s what makes it special and not just another rushed restaurant.

So glad Rose’s is back! We had the Chicken Stew with dumplings and Braised Cabbage Lasagna entrees, and Chocolate Mousse dessert with brandied cherries. Loved the Florian East Pilsner too. The service and staff were incredible. Although, I would loved a bigger serving of the cabbage lasagna. Smacznego!
(Delicious in Polish).

Everything about this restaurant is amazing! It’s truly a unique and eclectic place that you need to experience to understand . The atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. The waitstaff is friendly. I would definitely give it a 10 out of 10 if you haven’t been to Rose’s fine foods you need to go!

Cozy little place but absolutely worth the stop!

Had Dill Pickle Soup and braised beets! Kopytka and Kielbasa was great too! We will definitely be back!

Loved the beets and kielbasa the most and ended with a dark chocolate mousse! Highly recommend

Roses I love you. I love this place. The food vibe drinks and desserts all amazing. My one critique is I’m sometimes surprised by the portion vs the price. Certain dishes are affordable and large, and others are quite small for the price. Seems especially true for dumpling dishes which is a shame because those are my favorite.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever been to. It feels like you’re sitting in someone’s home, being served delicious and creative food. The service was wonderful and personable. The food was great for sharing and some unique flavors you don’t frequently find. I never went when they were open before but I’m glad they’ve reopened and I’m looking forward to going back again and again. Truly a Detroit gem!

We were immediately warmly greeted at the front door. The decor was charming and beautiful. We had a difficult time choosing (so many good options), so we went ahead and ordered 90% of the listed apps/sides and chose the kielbasa as our entree to share. Our server was kind, attentive, and knowledgable. So much so, that we’re now planning an Eastern European trip for 2026! My partner and I can’t wait to return, especially once the rumored menu-refresh happens in the coming weeks.
