Definitely will return!!
I walked in and joined a short line of about four people at the counter. I was asked if my order was dine-in or to-go. Due to a slight language barrier, communication was a bit difficult, but once it was clear I was dining in, I was told to sit at a table and that someone would come over shortly.
That didn’t happen for nearly ten minutes. The lone server appeared genuinely well-intentioned but clearly overwhelmed, with far too many tables to manage. There was no sense of urgency anywhere in the restaurant, which is especially noticeable during a Friday dinner rush.
The ambiance was essentially nonexistent. At one point, the server shouted drink questions from behind the counter to the table next to mine, rather than coming to the table. The atmosphere was disorganized and uncomfortable.
Food quality was mixed at best. The orange chicken was served lukewarm and was noticeably tough, though the portion size was decent. The garlic chicken was better, reasonably flavored, but only mildly warm. The crab puff appetizer was forgotten entirely until the server stopped by midway through the meal to ask how things were going and was reminded.
When the appetizer finally arrived, it was delivered by a child – around eight years old – who, ironically, was the most polite and personable individual in the restaurant. The crab puff was the highlight and tipped my food rating to 3 stars.
Overall, the issues weren’t about one mistake, but about basic execution: understaffing, poor service flow, lack of attention to temperature and timing, and an overall absence of structure. While my main server appeared to be trying, the experience fell short in nearly every fundamental area of dining out.
