We opted for the Carte Blanche 5-course experience with wine pairings, and it was absolutely worth it. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated, truly Michelin star quality. The flavors were rich and refined, and the wine pairings elevated every bite.
Special thanks to our server, Jean, who was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made the evening feel extra special. The staff also surprised us with a sweet honeymoon dessert plate, which meant a lot.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic or celebratory dinner in the city!
Icelandic Cod 8/10
Shorthorn Beef Burger 7/10
French Onion Soup 6/10
Grilled Octopus 7/10
The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us in a comfortable booth. That was the highlight of the experience and the reason for the two stars.
Unfortunately, everything after that fell short. Our server took quite a while to come over with the tea sample, and by the time he did, we had already read the full menu and were ready to order. When we asked about the kids afternoon tea, his response was dismissive. He told us there was no kids option, just a smaller version of the adult one. (even if this was mentioned in their website)
When I asked for a tea recommendation for my son, the answer was simply, “Whatever you want, Madame.”
The service felt rushed and indifferent, which was disappointing, especially given that this was meant to be a birthday celebration. The tea arrived first, and the rest of the food came much later. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming and poorly paced.
We also noted in our reservation that it was our son’s birthday, but there was no acknowledgment at all. We weren’t expecting anything extravagant, just a bit of care or recognition.
This was meant to be a special moment for our family, and sadly, it didn’t feel special at all.
The High Tea experience is totally recommended.
Food delicious – Service attentive- atmosphere beautiful
Best by far High Tea experience in Montreal
The food was absolutely delicious, highlighting fresh, local ingredients with beautiful presentation. I enjoyed a full course (entrée and main), and it came to around 150 CAD, which felt very reasonable for the quality and refined setting.
The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, with that perfect mix of French sophistication and Montreal charm. Thanks again to Jean and the team. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the city!
5 stars and highly recommend for a standout bistro meal.
Giving it 2 stars because the ambiance was nice, but unfortunately the customer service was non-existent.
