I went with a friend last week or the week before then and ordered a sandwich with soup. It was awesome. I really enjoyed the meal and wondered with my friend why we did come before and have lunches. Hope to come again and dine in for lunches. The bakery is always so yummy and tasty.

Great place for a quick bite to eat and fast service. Options include make-your-own wraps/sandwiches and delicious house made baking. Yum! My go to spot when I’m in a rush.

I walk past this cafe on my way to and from work and hadn’t really noticed it before. I decided to order takeout from there today. I ordered a turkey club wrap and got the lunch combo, so it came with a side and a drink. The wrap was delicious – maybe the best wrap I’ve ever had. I will definitely be making this a regular lunch stop from now on.

Love this sweet deli in the Ruby Marie Hotel. Lots of bread choices (sour dough is awesome)! My mom had ham & cheese on a croissant and she says it’s the best in town. I had a turkey avocado melt on the sourdough and it was super delicious. Of course we couldn’t leave without trying the big giant delicious cookies! Thanks Bob!

The food is absolutely delicious!! Place looks a bit retro/outdated, but the food is outstanding!

Good food, large portions, reasonable prices, large selection, great baked goods! Usually I get the tuna melt sandwich, which is thankfully devoid of celery (or if there is celery it’s cut up so small as to be unobtrusive). It is consistently delicious, and they always toast it perfectly!

Today, I got a turkey sandwich, which was delicious. However, all the turkey was crumbled up in tiny pieces, which is pretty annoying since they just spill out of the sandwich and get everywhere. I definitely won’t order the turkey again, as the crumbled form the turkey came in was off putting and annoying.

We love this little deli. Unfortunately, it’s only open on week days. Lots of great sandwiches, soups, salads, beer and sweets to pick from. We only live a block a way so it’s a true bummer we need to get there on weekdays when i commute to the west side for work. Also, this place is super affordable. For two people, we usually spend $20. Super cheap for Madison. We love you Lakeview Deli!

Great deli with great food and great people! I’m a happy customer who orders the same salad each time I visit and it’s because the yellowfin tuna is cooked superbly (by Jess, I think). Superbly! I also like the secret way you can order breakfast for lunch. Also like the dining area – there’s one inside and a little courtyard outside – both are unique and comfortable. Can’t think of a place I enjoy more for a mid-day meal. Only wish they were open for dinner, too. Highly recommend Lakeview to anyone! :o)

A new favorite with a great view of the lake. Cozy, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The croissant is a delicious and filling brunch option. Coffee is hot & fresh. So many tasty treats. Looking forward to returning with friends.

Great breakfast baked goods that change daily and are delicious. They also make omelettes and sandwiches. There is a certain charm about the place. The bakery is part of the bed and breakfast, Hotel Ruby Marie, great big windows to look out over Lake Monona, great people watching with the bike path and multiple intersections converging in front of the building. My kids like going here and ask when they can go to breakfast across from Cinderella’s Castle (Machinery Row).

Unfortunately, the bakery is not open to the public on Saturday or Sunday because of the B&B traffic. Two things that would make this place great: espresso machine and open on the weekends.
