Absolutely the worst steak Ive ever been served in my life. First bite left a bitter burnt taste in my mouth. I brought it up to my server. All they said is they are sorry and will talk to their manager. Never got offered a replacement plate/covering it. I did not eat the food. At this point I paid for my meal in full and left it on the table for them to enjoy if they’re into eating garbage.

This was a very popular place. We were able to make reservations and dined outside on the padio. Food was very good but service seemed a little off. We received our food before we received our drinks and we only ordered beer from the bar. We also had to wait usually long to pay at the end. But other than that the food and atmosphere was good.

Excellent food and amazing service is what we had at Rosebud’s tonight! Salmon was delicious, cavatelli was the best, soups were tasty and salads large and fresh! Great outdoor seating area under the stars. Dessert was a giant chocolate cake that was amazing! Highly recommend this place for great food!

I loved the Eggplant Salad. I suspect the Balsamic reduction was not their own and for the price it should be. I’m sorry if I’m wrong. It was still delicious and they treated me to a dessert for my Birthday. Have no idea how they knew. Which was a very pleasant surprise.

I’ve been to few rosebud around Chicago, and this one has weird vibe, the atmosphere is little bit odd, since you have a feeling that you are in library or some industrial cafe place. Hosts and server were nice and fast. For appetizers we had stuffed mushrooms and baked clams, which were outstanding! For entrees we had eggplant parmesan, which had great tomato sauce, but that was it. Also we had vodka rigatoni pasta with shrimp, which was okay, nothing special, needed thicker sauce, more seasoning and pasta should be more tender and fresh. Tiramisu was incredibly good. So this place is not that bad, but it’s far from 5 stars. They are relocating to other place nearby, which could be a nice improvement.

You can’t go wrong with the spaghetti and meatballs and it’s more than enough for two people but a very hungry man can eat it all and barely walk away feeling good about it. I had them add fresh basil to make it perfect like I would have it at home. You have to ask for bread and that’s ok so it doesn’t go to waste if they were to bring it and you don’t want it.

Dined in yesterday with my man and we received a burnt $61 filet steak. The few bites he was able to take tasted like nothing but burnt steak and we brought it up to server and the only thing we were told was that she would tell the chef about it. Never got offered a new plate or even a discount. It was so burnt that it was hard to cut into and you could tap it with a fork and it sounded like you were tapping on the glass plate. We paid for everything in full because we just wanted to get out of there, just waiting for the check took about an hour and you would expect them to handle things better after getting such terrible service but we were treated like it didn’t matter. I would never eat here again and I don’t recommend. Even the lobster ravioli pasta that we ordered looked like it was just thrown onto the plate. You’d think they’d be able to simply plate something nicer with how long it took for us to get our food.
