We found this Dhaba while traveling from Albuquerque to Amarillo. It’s a bit away from the main market almost in the middle of nowhere but right off the highway, and absolutely worth the stop. We ordered roti, daal, and paneer dishes, all of which were fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced.

I placed my food order 45 minutes earlier. I waited for a long time. One employee saw me but didn’t ask me anything or even welcome me. The bell at the entrance was ringing for quite a while. After a long time, I rang the bell myself, and an old lady came. I asked her why my food wasn’t ready. She said, “Why didn’t you ring the bell? Your food has been ready for a long time.”
That doesn’t make sense, because they had already heard the entrance bell when I came in. I also used the restroom—at the very least, someone should ask a customer if they need help.
The old lady spoke very rudely. Maybe that’s why no one else was there. They don’t care whether someone has entered the place or not.
I did not like the way she spoke to me at all, so I stepped outside, got into my truck, started it, and drove away. It was snowing heavily at that time.
