We decided to do an early dinner and a friend gave us a menu with some coupons so we decided to give Rosatis a try. Since we arrived at an off time of day it took a long time to be acknowledged and seated but once we did get seated the service was very good and we were in want of nothing. The parking was onstreet parking so I am not sure what it would be like on a busy night. The seating was plentiful and nicely spaced to keep with covid precautions. Most of the staff was appropriately masked but some not at all.
The service as I said was very good so the food came out very hot and fresh. On the night we were went there was a Saturday night special you pay for one size pizza but you get a pizza one size larger so that was great, I don’t know if this is always the way it is or if it was just something they were trying.
We plan to go back and maybe take a friend or two to try something different.

I called to order 2 pizzas and told them I had a coupon for free delivery and Pepsi. I was told they had no driver so I would have to pick it up; I asked do I still get the free Pepsi and was told NO, because I was picking it up. I ordered from the another pizza place in town. I’m thinking my choice for ordering pizza has changed from now on.

9-30-21 Lost two stars last night. I posted the review below a couple of months ago. We have been back to Rosati’s a few more times since then. The service is just bad. I don’t know any other way to put it. We ordered cocktails, we were charged for “doubles” – which may be what we got, but that is not what we ordered. We waited and waited for food. There had been two other tables of four people in the restaurant when we arrived, but they were long gone before we got our food. When the food arrived, it was clear that it had been sitting back in the kitchen for a while. The Italian beef was dried out and looked like it had been under a heat lamp for half an hour. The pizza was cold. The food was edible, but the experience was disappointing to be sure. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Rosati’s I would go to again and again. The food is so good… truly tasty and comforting. Not haute cuisine, but well prepared excellent food. I would have given it all five stars if the service was better. Hire some staff over 16 who knows how to wait and serve. Otherwise, good job.

No one was at the host stand so after waiting a few minutes we found another employee to sit us. After waiting 15 minutes for a server (the employee who sat us was in a booth 2 down from us on his phone) we decided to leave since no one ever came to our table.

Last review was great as then it was great pizza place…………. Today my second review and just opposite. Ordered take out fav 4 , thin crust, 14″. Plus moss sticks and sauce. Take out . Well……. Worst pizza I’ve ever had.. and I’m 73. Tasteless. Crust was tasteless. Moss sticks and sauce chewy as bubble gum. Ketchup would have been better. Used to be regular customer,, weekly. Was great. Looked forward to a delicious pizza as usual …….. Waiter moved in as did I… Something has to be wrong . I don’t give bad reviews but never pitched half a 14″ pizza and mozz sticks . Sorry folks. Gotta be someplace better .

Rosati in Mendota IL does not meet what’s expected in a Rosati’s. They need to have the place inspected for company standards. We’ve avoided the place for the last few years. Tried it again this weekend. Sorry, it was extremely disappointing.

I love this place, but idk if it’s because the staff is new or what, but the waiters won’t warn you about upcharges on items they ask/recommend and then you find out once you get your bill. Otherwise the food and atmosphere is good.

Normally the pizza has been very good but the last 3 or 4 times we’ve picked one up they have been burnt. Today we ordered a thin crust, easy cheese pizza with black olives and spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. The pizza was completely burnt, the olives were missing, and the spaghetti came with meatballs but not the sausage I requested. This is a restaurant that we Normally order our pizza from. Disappointed.

Delicious pizza, staff very nice, I have 4 stars because I thought they were a little pricey. I went there to pick up and it was hot and ready when I got there. I will go and dine in next time, it looked clean and cozy.
