You truly cannot beat the Rosa’s experience!

Best tortillas ever!
Such a great Texas staple.
Usually go to the Denton Highway location but this one was closer as we have moved. We will be going out of our way to our old location from now on, where there are friendly faces and fresh food and they actually give you all your food!!!!
Turns out I was the one that was surprised more because in my head I was imagining a burrito filled with rice, beans, pico de gallo maybe some cheese you know a regular burrito but instead I got what appeared to be a meat and tortilla taco. My dad‘s burrito had 3 or 4 pieces of fajita slices and that was it nothing more. I called the restaurant and asked for a manager just to make sure maybe I was wrong but again nope according to the manager that is what they call a burrito. When I told her she had to be kidding, that the burrito was actually the smaller than My hand and the size of a taco she became annoyed and said well that’s what our burritos are. I also almost forgot to mention that the customer service needs work. The guy at the drive-through speaker was nice, but the guy in the window looked like he was pissed off at the world and would rather be asleep then at work or at least that’s what he sounded like. Super disappointed. I definitely won’t be going back to that location again.
All the meat was so small there were hardly any pieces that looked solid. I got a bunch of shredded tiny pieces of meat and barely any at that. Ordered extra even. What a waste of $50 over priced trash now
However, I ended up going in and it is a different experience. I now understand why I had the experience I did the first time. This is very much a build your own type of place. There is no oven in the kitchen prep line as many restaurants have where they assemble enchiladas for example, add cheese or sauce, and push through a broiler conveyor. Rosa’s assembles very quickly without the broiler part, so your food is ready frequently before you grab a table. There is a prep bar in the middle of the restaurant with a broad selection of salsas: roja, verde, picos, etc. So, a lot of your experience is up to your taste and mood.
What got me in the mood to write this and to visit even my third time, is that they were promoting the Chili Verde Dinner, which sounded like it’s worth a try. It is. First, it’s only $10 something and has a puffed tortilla edible bowl and is filled with a very nice beef chunk stew with green chilis. It comes with rice and beans (very standard), very good and completely edible. It was very filling as well.
The restaurant itself is visually very busy (lots to look at) and really quite pleasant. The staff is always friendly.
I have continued to visit and this is a great choice for a very quick, inexpensive meal.
