Reviews
The portions are generous, packed with fresh ingredients, and always full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
The place itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about their customers.
It’s the kind of spot where you feel good walking in and even better walking out, satisfied and already thinking about your next visit. Roofs Natural Kitchen is easily one of our favorites, and we recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, delicious meal.
I appreciate the great customer service!
I think I found my new love lol
Roots will you be my valentine?!
Also, during my last few delivery orders I’ve noticed that this restaurant does not secure the packaging with anti-tampering safeguards. It wouldn’t cost much to simply secure the bowl lids with stickers or even the top of the bag with a sticker so that the customer feels assured the food has not been tampered with once leaving the restaurant. I am requesting “corporate” take notice to this recommendation.
At pickup, I asked is this a full serving of tofu? I was told yes. When I said its never looked that low before was told “we used to give more than 1 serving but we can’t keep doing that as that cost money.” I paid extra for 2 servings of grilled items- 1 of tofu and 1 of mushrooms. See photo of what the protein serving looks like
Our family gets a lot of value from Roots’ “kids eat free” policy (one free kids bowl for every paid adult bowl) since we have two adults and two kids, so it balances nicely. The kids love being able to make their own bowls (though I do sometimes *strongly* encourage some vegetable options to be added), and I appreciate knowing they’re going to have a fairly balanced dinner that they actually eat. They both love the BBQ tofu and the chicken.
I’m personally a big fan of the Southern and the Balboa, but we’ve also gotten the Cobb before as well. Unlike a lot of bowls places, I find that Roots bowls all have distinct and different flavors (cause let’s be honest, most places the bowls taste the same for the most part, just with different mix-ins), so I enjoy switching it up.
