They have so many cool restaurants and coffee shops up in Northern Utah. I wish we had more of them down south in St. George. They have great coffee and a fantastic croissant breakfast sandwich that we ate so fast I forgot to take a picture! Lol. They have the coolest vibe. I could hang out for a few hours. Or use it to do some work there as they have a ton of tables or comfy chairs and sofas. I love that it was in a historical home rather than a boring business building. They have an enclosed patio when you walk in and an outdoor seating area too. Go check them out!!

This is a great little place! I always order a Carmel white choc iced mocha at every coffee stop that way I can fairly evaluate! And it was delicious here! I also tried their white choc raspberry mocha….! SO GOOD! I ended coming back here again on our short trip to get another! I also tried a GF brownie that they offered from a local bakery – it was good but nothing special imo.
The atmosphere is cool and relaxed, they have an upstairs where you can go and hang out. Free Wi-Fi and an adorable propagation plant wall! Lots of comfy seating!

Really enjoyed my visit here. The staff were super friendly. I ordered their horchata latte with whole milk and decaf coffee as an after work treat. The lobby is modern and the best part is the espresso beans that are added to the top of your coffee.

Hidden gem! I’ve tried their matcha latte and regular latte, both are very very good. Located in a cute area of Sugarhouse. I love the setup they have inside, lots of different places to do work or relax. I LOVE the little window room they have in the front, perfect place to enjoy your coffee before starting the day.

Vibe was spot on. Service was top notch. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t drinkable. We only ordered small Americanos, which is our go to everywhere. But they were incredibly watered down. Neither of us could take more than a few sips.

Roots Coffee has been absolutely incredible to work with. Our company FLT Academy used their mobile coffee catering service and from the start they have exceeded expectations. Their coffee cart looks amazing, their team has been extremely kind and professional, and they have patiently answered every single one of my questions along the way. Even before our event this Friday they have already proven themselves to be top notch. We are excited to continue working with them in the future. If you are looking for a coffee catering service I highly recommend Roots Coffee.

YES! I recommend Roots to any coffee lover. Traveling for work and it’s surprisingly difficult to find a solid coffee shop. Roots covers it all. Nice atmosphere that was relaxing and I was able to get work done and the coffee was just as amazing as their service. Will be back next time I’m in town. THANK YOU!

Roots Coffee is a very quiet spot, perfect for work and studying. However, parking is a real challenge. I ordered an Horchata Latte, but the coffee was watery and lacked flavor.
Another issue is that they should always ask “fore here or to go” If I’m sitting in a coffee shop, I’d expect a proper mug—this is part of the customer experience.
Their pastries were also disappointing, as they only offered store-bought muffins. While the girl at the front was very kind, I feel all team members should be trained to do latte art. That’s a big part of what makes a coffee shop experience special. Otherwise, it feels no different than going to Starbucks.
This place has a lot of potential but needs to improve in these areas to truly stand out.

Fantastic coffee and breakfast at the most welcoming and comfortable coffee shop I have been to in SLC. I have been here frequently as of late and you can’t go wrong with a dirty chai or their well known horchata latte. I also love that they have a new flavor every month. This shops simplicity makes you feel right at home! Also loved that there is a parking lot in the back and I don’t have to leave my car on the side of the road. Can’t wait to go back so so soon!
