The waitress was kind and well groomed. Wait time was longer than expected because waitress noticed they messed up order before she brought it out and had them redo it. That was a nice surprise. Most places wouldn’t notice until the customer did. Price was spot on for the quality of food you get. Downfalls was a guy seated at the bar who was talking with a waitress who I thought needed more clothes on for being a waitress and the guy was cussing like a sailor. Could’ve done without that but the food was superb. We will go again. When we put in restaurants near me in maps this restaurant was not listed and when you put in Roots, Winchester Indiana on Google it doesn’t show up. You have to put exactly the name Roots by Tree Hill Farms. We are glad we found this place.

Roots is a nice family restaurant with fun things in the mix! They have steak night with a band, daily specials and they use locally grown menu items whenever possible. We tried their pasta and their brownie sundae. (Make sure you bring someone to help finish the sundae!) Our side dishes were fabulous and plenty. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and kept our drinks full. We left feeling well fed without having empty pockets. I highly recommend the experience and will definitely return!

Went today for lunch thinking it was going to take a while to be seated due to all the cars there, but surprisingly we were sat immediately. Service was quick and food was great. So many house made bbq sauces. Mac and cheese with brisket was on point. Will def be back as several pizzas are calling my name.

Excellent! We were from out of town and tried Roots for the first time. We had the pulled chicken sandwich, mac-n-cheese with the sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent! Plus a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We’ll be back on our next trip to town.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, the music and decorating details especially. The food looked and tasted lovely. Went on a Saturday evening and I feel that there is room for improvement in the service.

Everyone was very nice and my helper did a fantastic job if getting me what I wanted. I’ll be back for sure. The only thing, it was my first time and I wasn’t offered a t shirt like my brother. No biggie

Only 4.6 stars? My wife, sister-in-law and I go around Indiana once a week looking for low carb/ketoesque places to try out. To begin, Roots Pizza is by far the BEST restaurant experience we have yet enjoyed and I can’t emphasize that enough. This is the perfect execution of healthy, flavorful farm-to-table eatery. I had the 12″ pizza (all meat toppings). Nit-picky me, I’d have liked some fennel within but regardless, this was a top shelf pizza, almost equal to my beloved favorite Brozinni’s (Greenwood, Ind.). Crust was a thin shell with delightful doughy interior. Red sauce was full of saucy tomato flavor and not ruined with sugar. Wife Susan had the $26 special, grass fed, pasture raised, no hormones ribeye special. It was cooked perfectly rare, flavorful and almost fork tender. Sister Lori had a shredded beef sandwich and fries. She stopped eating only long enough to tell me it was awesome. Foods are locally sourced, non-GMO, no drugs etc. The waiter (I forget her name but she hailed from nearby Ridgeville) was professional and sweet. Some otherwise keto-firndly eateries fall short for want of low-carb sides. Not so here. Susan approvingly had the roasted brussel sprouts and many low-carb options were available. There was one disappointment, that at 5:30 p.m. every table wasn’t occupied. We want Roots to succeed and thrive. It moved to the head of our class versus many good competitors and we’ll definitely be back.

The food and service were both great! Tonight I had a sub, fries and a salad. Every time I walk in to Roots the staff is great and quick to get your order.
