Rootie’s is a nice break from some of the other bars in Cheviot. They have pool, they have darts, they have good, well-priced drinks; they don’t have a concept. And honestly, the lack of a concept is refreshing, and indicative of the Westside bars I grew up with. (Yes, I know that sounds funny, but it doesn’t make it any less true.)
Stop in for a drink and relax. Don’t expect overly loud music or overly rowdy people – just a good place to stop & get a drink/
Best of all: scuttlebutt says there’s a subterranean room in this bar that is only opened when the owner wants to open it. I’ve never been, but for goodness’ sake – it’s subterranean!
