I been trying to visit this place and unfortunately got disappointed. I ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese in a roll. The sausage wasn’t season and no salt pepper or mayo on the roll.

Great location, awesome dining room. Lacking somewhat on the breakfast side of things, especially breakfast bagle sandwiches, the sausage tastes like microwave plastic, an the bagle itself was frozen in the freezer. That doesnt look like fresh every day bagles to me. Ice cold before it was toasted I figured I’d give this place a second chance, an I was reminded very quickly why I haven’t been back in a long time. Wife an I couldn’t even Finnish the food, had to toss it in the trash. Damn shame.

Awesome little place off 715.

Went in today and got the special which was a Reuben and wow. Bread was great, tons of meat, and probably the biggest Reuben size wise I’ve ever had.

Can’t wait to go back, atmosphere was very relaxing, looking forward to trying the soups which sounded amazing

I have been here 3 times now and each time was as great as the first. Everything here is done from scratch and the animals used for the meats come from their own farm. Fresh homemade meats, soups, desserts, you name it…it’s all done the right way here.

First time here I had the pulled lamb sandwich. I had never heard of this before and I asked the owner what he suggested and after he said “everything”, he said if I liked lamb then this was it. He couldn’t be more correct. The lamb was tender and juicy, the roll was a nice sturdy Kaiser, and the pickled cabbage added a nice little acidity and juiciness to this sandwich as well.

Next time in I ordered the “Phat Boy” and the Roast Beef sandwich. Both were incredible. The phat boy had fried eggs, cheese, pork roll (or Taylor Ham depending who you ask), bacon, and sausage on that same Kaiser roll. Everything was amazing, but the flavor of the sausage really shined through on this and created an experience I want over and over again. You could truly taste the freshness of the meat and delicious fennel flavor.

This roast beef sandwich rivals (if not beats) the amazing roast beef sandwiches of my youth in Brooklyn from places like Brennan and Carr as well as Roll N’ Roaster. The meat is incredibly tender, I was barely even chewing and it was just melting away in my mouth. The au jus added some nice flavor and moisture, and the horseradish mayo was (as it always is) a wonderful touch on a quality roast beef sandwich.

The last time in (again on his suggestion) I went with the lamb burger. Another homerun. The meat was tender and cooked medium rare. The bun again was that same crusty Kaiser roll which I personally love for burgers. Just the addition of lettuce, tomato, and his Rooster sauce so to not overpower the flavor of the meat. This was seriously fantastic and somehow honestly probably the lowest on my list of items I loved here…that’s how good everything else has been.

Run, don’t walk to get here. Roosters Meat Barn (I think technically in Reeders) in Stroudsburg, PA – Didn’t Suck

After 2 years of them being in business, I finally stopped in, abd ut,was definitely worth ut.the food was delicious.the portions were generous. They had atypical beverages available, with their own brand of soda! The owner/ cook was accommodating, as we were served even though they were closing.the atmosphere was comfortable and fun.

The best burgers we had in years! My kids had grilled cheese that were full of different types of cheese and were very good! And the chili fries were great. This is one of those places that you don’t want to “judge a book by its cover.” There is minimal parking, and it doesn’t look great from the outside, but the inside it is great, and the staff is awesome! Note: they only accept cash but have an ATM inside. Glad we ate here. We will definitely go back.

Catered 2 large heros and cold salads for my son HS graduation. The portion was incredible, leftovers for days. Everyone raved about the food. The grandparents were raving how much it reminded them of what a NY hero looked like back in the day, “so thick it doesn’t your hand doesn’t fit around it “. Reasonably priced, the owner is a total gem, he genuinely enjoys his customers and knows them all by name. Love that the small town connection still exists. Thank you for helping me make a special day a total success

My boyfriend and I decided we were going to go on a day trip up to the outlets and on our way we decided we were going to stop for a quick bite to eat. We had no idea where we were going to stop, but then saw a sign for Roosters not far from where the Tannersville outlets were located. We decided to take the 3 mile drive up the road and saw what appeared to be a small country style meat deli. As we walked towards the building we were greeted with a very delicious smell, although we still had no idea if they even had tables to sit at. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in as the place appeared larger on the inside than the outside. There were long tables with quirky signs hanging about. The deli was very clean and well maintained inside. There were multiple coolers with a fantastic variety of drink options. On the counter sat homemade baked goods like coffee cake and bags of small chocolate treats. Behind the counter stood a stout man who greeted us with a welcoming smile and said hello. The menu was written on a whiteboard with many types of polish cuisine, such as kielbasa, pulled pork, gyros and the owner’s specialty pulled lamb. My boyfriend opted for the gyro and I decided on the pulled pork fries. While we waited a few regulars came in and were greeted by name. The food came out quickly, was hot and fresh. My fries were covered in a generous helping of pulled pork, cheese sauce and a delicious barbecue. The fries remained crispy throughout my meal. It was perfectly cooked and the meat perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend said his gyro was cooked to perfection and loved how the owner chopped up the tomato and lettuce on the gyro so it didn’t slide all over the place when you bit into it. Every bite he took he was saying yum. Our waitress Shelly made us feel right at home. She had a very pleasant attitude and spent a few moments making small talk. The owner then came out during our meal and sat down at a table catty corner to us. He asked us how the food was and we told him it was cooked perfectly. I did mention how my fries were delicious, however I would have preferred red onion on top. I didn’t mean to offend him, so I hope he didn’t take it that way. I just happen to think onion helps enhances the flavor of any meal. Overall we had a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Roosters to anyone in the area if you’re looking for fast, fresh food, a great atmosphere and an extremely welcoming owner and staff.
