I had a great experience at Roosters Bar and Grill! The staff was super friendly and quick, making me feel welcome right away. The place has those classic old-school diner vibes — cozy, relaxed, and full of character.

I ordered the pot roast sandwich, and it was excellent. The pork was incredibly tender, and the flavor was spot on — hearty, savory, and perfectly cooked. Definitely a meal that hits the spot!

Overall, Roosters is a great spot if you’re looking for good food, friendly service, and a laid-back atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I have been hunting for the best fried chicken for around 12 years and I may have found it. I brought home an order of chicken tenders and they were still warm AND crispy when I got home 90 minutes later. (50 minutes normally but I stopped twice running errands on the way home) I’m going to have my leftovers for breakfast, mark me.
Extras. There is a large bar on the main level, restaurant is on top/upstairs. Lots of parking. The restaurant is dated but meticulously maintained, clean, organized. Menu is HUGE. Separate wine/drink menu.
Bathroom was clean.
I don’t see ANY vegetarian or vegan options other than salads minus the protein, maybe one soup, a few sides, or a kid’s grilled cheese. Gluten free also slim pickings here. I would love to see a gluten free wrap and bun option with a $1-2 up charge. Also… no dessert menu? The place has such a homey atmosphere I was hoping for a brownie sundae (not that I had room for it) or some kind of fruit pie maybe?

Me and my soon to be fiancé were there for the Superbowl and were greeted by Cora the bartender with an amazing attitude and smile. I am new to the area and Adrean who is my boyfriend (fiance) has lived in the area a few blocks away for about 3 years. We have been at roosters a few times now and have always had great food and the service is amazing. I want to thank the staff at the bar and the owner for making us feel welcome. We will definitely be back. I want to especially thank Cora for the awesome hospitality.

We were looking for some good dine-in fried chicken, and this came up on several searches.

Our server was wonderful, the place was clean with old-school charm, and the prices great. But the fried chicken was just awful. The pieces were small and unbelievably dry. Was it because we were there later (7:30) on a Saturday night, and we got the leftovers? I ended up eating french fries and a biscuit (both were good) for dinner 🙁 My husband did enjoy his brisket sandwich, but it wasn’t “out of this world” as a previous reviewer said.

With so much hype, we were very disappointed.

If you can get here on a Wednesday especially, don’t miss it! Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Great food. The All you can eat beer battered fish on Wednesday and Friday is the best. Light breading. Perfectly cooked white fish. And some pretty dang good coleslaw paired with some excellent fries. Don’t miss out on Roosters.

I really enjoyed the food. We got the appetizer, the potato skins with cheese and it was really good. We got some good main meals that came out nice and hot. The service was great we got checked up on a lot. Always have free refills. The atmosphere is really nice. There were a lot of cool things going on. There was a bar downstairs. There was just a relief friendly atmosphere. It was pretty clean. Nothing really messed up. I’d recommend it to anybody. It was right off of the street which was kind of busy but it was still kind of like hidden. If you know what I mean. It’s a hidden gem.

Our meals were superb! Husband had full slab of ribs with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. He said the ribs were some of the best he ever had– tender and juicey. I had the fried shrimp dinner– the best shrimp either of us had ever had. They were HUGH! Giant shrimp lightly battered and fried to perfection. The other six in our party were quite happy with their meals also. Prices are reasonable for what you get. We definitely give Roosters a thumbs up!

I’ve been going there on and off for several years and in the last 2 years the place is going downhill. The service is terrible. The basement bar reeks like sewage. Where do you go to the bathrooms? And now the food is terrible. The chicken wings I got weren’t even brown or crispy. They were raw and terrible and the worst chicken I’ve ever had and they’re supposed to be the place for chicken. Well they screwed that up. Don’t recommend to anyone anymore

Look, there’s nothing wrong with the place. The prices are fair, the food is good and the staff is friendly. The location is a bit difficult to get in and out of. The main thing is that they don’t have anything individually unique or to draw people in.
