The Rooster and the Till has been on Tampa’s Michelin guide for a long time now. I finally gave it a try. For starters, I was with someone who is mostly vegetarian. The vegetarian dishes relied heavily on sweet elements for me, which I don’t prefer in my entrees. I enjoyed each dish, but have some critiques. The beets and ricotta needed an additional savory element to knock it out of the park. Additionally, the miyaki mushrooms were topped with very sweet Granny Smith apples that limited the umami flavor profile. I tried all three pasta dishes which were decadent. The real star of the show was the desserts! We ordered two out of the three and were gifted the third dessert on the menu buy the chef. They were all next level flavor. I was blown away with how creative and unique the desserts tasted because it was not mirrored by the other dishes we received. The unique flavor combinations, coupled with different textures, knocked it out of the park. The dining experience missed being exceptional. First, the atmosphere was nothing special. For an experimental kitchen, I would have expected an atmosphere that was more eclectic. More importantly, I was shocked at the lack of serving spoons, clean plates, or new utensils brought in between each course. I was serving myself from our appetizers with my single provided fork. It felt messy to have mixed each dishes flavors, especially when they were brought out as separate courses. At least providing a spoon would have been less awkward. I appreciated the female server who explained each dish to us when she ran them to our table. It was a lovely evening overall, but it wasn’t memorable for what I expect of a Bib Gormand. There is no doubt the restaurant was worth trying. I would recommend it to novice foodies looking to get their feet wet.

Don’t let the location or the exterior fool you — the magic truly happens inside Rooster & the Till.

From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice how nice and clean the space is, with a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. The staff is absolutely amazing — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they’re serving.

The food is outstanding. Keep in mind, they specialize in small plates, but each dish is beautifully presented and absolutely packed with flavor. Every bite feels thoughtfully crafted and creative.

This place is on its way to a Michelin star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Great job to the entire team — we’ll definitely be back!

Rooster and the Tail was an absolutely wonderful dining experience from start to finish! We sampled a large portion of the menu, and every single dish was fantastic—packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was second to none; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The drinks were incredible too—creative, balanced, and perfectly paired with the meal. This place truly delivers on every level. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!

Oh my goodness… !!!!!!
This place is out of this world. Food was very flavorful and different from other spots

Chicken skewer- wonderful and flavorful. I could eat 10 of those lol

Prawns – my least favorite. 4 units only and not fulfilling. The curry sauce was wonderful though.

Gnocchi- good but a little plain.

Ribs – what was this? Soooo good and tasty! My favorite savory option

Desserts:
Calamasi sorbet : almost like a key lime pie – very citrusy

Sesame ice cream: for gods sake, the best dessert I’ve ever had in the past 10 years. No joke, it’s unbelievably delicious and speechless

Latte and cappuccino were both on point and very creamy.

The only downside of this place is the smell. The exhaustion fan doesn’t seem enough and you will be smelling like all the food they are cooking. This wont prevent me from coming here again but it’s definitely unpleasant

Overall, F A N T A S T I C!

Elevated, sophisticated, and impressive. This is what comes to mind after my first trip to Rooster & the Till! Everything, from beginning to end, was perfect. The service was impeccable; the food was unique and delicious; the atmosphere was a vibe.

Items tried: roasted golden beets with whipped ricotta, yakitori, charred cabbage, vindaloo pappardelle and char siu pork ribs. All washed down with a classic old fashioned.

There wasn’t a lower among any of those dishes. Everything was executed perfectly. The only suggestion I would make is to re-envision their cocktail and dessert options. Neither list was exciting to me, personally.

That said, I cannot wait to return!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. I had been meaning to go here for the past couple of years and I’m glad I finally did. It’s a very unassuming place. We actually drove past it. The inside smells delicious. Very dimly lit. Friendly staff. The servings are small, more like tapa style. Easy to split. The drinks are amazing. Will definitely go here again, I’m sure this place grow tremendously and will probably move into a new location eventually.

Food was very good, very unique and tasty. Service was great. I expected the serving sizes to be small because it’s Michelin star, but they are really small… $25 or so for a chicken skewer and you would need at least two or three entrées per person for dinner.

This is literally my favorite place on this entire planet.

I actually call it my home when I’m going to it.

Chef Luke, Angel, Marcello, Maddy, Karlyn, Lea, and yes even you Nate (lol); you guys all make this place feel so welcoming.

My fiancé and I have come here countless times now and it literally never disappoints.

The food is so amazing. It’s the first place to ever get me to actually enjoy seafood dishes.

The cobia is my favorite dish I’ve ever had.
I think about it when I’m not there and crave it when I do.

I could go on forever but honestly if you’re still reading this, just GO.
Experience it for yourself.
Go there with an open mind and no expectations.

From the welcome greeting to the goodbyes our experience was brilliant! We ordered based on reviews for our first time there. We had the tuna tartare, cobia collar, roasted beets, gnocchi, black sesame ice cream, and the olive oil cake.
The cobia collar and the black sesame ice cream were my favorites. Everything though has so many layers of flavors and textures. Each bite is a dance of flavors on your palette. I will say that if you go you must absolutely try the black sesame ice cream. It was something magical! We drove an hour and a half and
We will most definitely be back to try more dishes soon!

Had dinner on Halloween, restaurant was at maybe 1/4 capacity which was nice as a guest. The service was consistently excellent throughout the meal. The menu was explained well, as were the wines. The roasted golden beets and the cobia collar were two stand-out dishes for us, both had tons of flavor and the cobia collar was a fun experience. We look forward to coming back again soon!
