Lovely Indian Restaurant with a comfortable dining room.

Staff are friendly and helpful.
Had trouble deciding which food to order! Lots of choices on the menu.

We started off with the Samosas – Potato pastries filled with savory potatoes and green peas -served with tamarind sauce
They were served hot and fresh. They are very flavorful.

We had:
Buttered Chicken -Mild – Cubes of roasted chicken coated with a buttery sauce
Onion Masala Dosa – Large Indian pancake made from rice and white lentils, Served with potato masala, coconut chutney, and sambar.
Chicken Biryani Mild – Basmati rice prepared with roasted chicken chunks, mint leaves, bay leaves, and spices
Chicken Biryani Spicy- Basmati rice prepared with roasted chicken chunks, mint leaves, bay leaves, and spices
Butter Chicken – Spicy – Cubes of roasted chicken coated with a buttery sauce

If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must visit. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (Spicy) with lemon rice and a side of garlic naan. The the chicken was extremely tender and and flavorful. The sauce had a nice amount of heat that didn’t leave you sweating. The naan was soft, fluffy, and fresh(best naan I’ve had in years), ideal for scooping up every bit of sauce. The staff was very welcoming and attentive I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves Indian cuisine—or anyone looking to discover just how delicious it can be! I’ll definitely be returning with my family.

The place is quite plain, but clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and prompt. I had the ginger chicken and sautéed green beans. My wife had aloo gobi masala. We shared some garlic naan and cardamon pistachio cheesecake for desert. The food was great with a very nice presentation. The advice to request a lower spice level than you normally would is good. The servings were very generous and we shared the sautéed green beans. My wife had a enough leftover for another full meal.

Amazing Indian food! We ordered five different dishes and shared – everything was wonderful and beautifully presented. It was my mom’s birthday and her meal was free. Waiter was just attentive enough without being intrusive or ignoring us. We will be back!

Incredible food. Every dish will surprise you with the flavor and quality. Lovely decor and serene atmosphere will make you savor every bite. Waiters and stuff are very polite. No doubt it’s one of the best Indian restaurants in Texas. Who would have thought that such a gem would be located in Temple? I am addicted to their green beans. You cannot go to Roopa’s and not order samosas, it’s and order.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in Temple. I got the chicken tikka and the butter chicken. They don’t taste traditionally but they are incredible. The meat is so tender, and the flavors were off the charts. Portion sizes were good and medium spice level is a perfect balance. They deserve better ratings on here than they have.

Authentic Indian food at its finest! Whether you’re looking for a quiet dinner for two, or a place for a delicious business lunch, Roopa’s has got you covered. The food was amazing! So delicious in fact, that I left the place not being able to feel my face, so be careful of the spicy scale. + ️= But the food was so good, you’ll quickly forget your cleared sinuses, tear-filled eyes and numb mouth and start craving Roopa’s again!

Roopa’s kitchen is my favorite Indian restaurant, hands down. The butter chicken is the best I’ve ever had – it’s so creamy and flavorful, I could eat it every day and never get sick of it. The chicken 65 dish is also a must-try. It’s a spicy fried chicken dish that’s absolutely packed with flavor. I’ve tried it at a few other Indian restaurants, but none of them hold a candle to the version served at Roopa’s kitchen.

But the food isn’t the only reason I love this place. The service is always top-notch, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Whether I’m dining in or taking out, I always feel like a valued customer at Roopa’s kitchen.

Overall, if you’re a fan of Indian food, you need to check out Roopa’s kitchen. The butter chicken and chicken 65 alone are worth the visit, but trust me, you won’t be disappointed by any of the other dishes on the menu

Our 1st time trying this place! We were not disappointed. Service was great. Staff was friendly. Everything was very clean which is huge. We ordered vegetarian dishes and samosas. The only reason I gave 4 is because I thought for the price the portions could be a bit more plentiful. But it tasted great. Our naan bread was a little burnt on bottom, but it still had a good taste. We will be back again

Edit: we returned about a week later with a party of 10 and had a much different experience. The floors were so sticky that my shoes stuck and we could barely slide our chairs in and out of the tables. The wait staff was bothered and over scheduled and it took too long to get our food. Our appetizers arrived and we still had no waters. Hopefully it will be better in the future.

This place was wonderful!
We’d been told about this place from some friends.
It’s only been in Temple about 3 years.
The wait staff was attentive and very polished.
The samosas were excellent!
The entrees were nice sized and the spice level was awesome. We got medium spice level and it was perfect.
We enjoyed it all and especially the chicken curry and chicken kurma as well as the garlic naan and avocado naan.
This will be a new regular spot for us!
