Superb place. Sometimes oceanfront restaurants hide their inadequacy behind the gorgeous view. Yet, this is not the case here. Yes, the view is stunning, but they back it up with excellent food, excellent service and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Truly enjoyed our time here.

Great atmosphere. Food was good. It wasn’t excessively pricey, which I appreciated. My kids enjoyed their meals and they were treated with kindness (which really impressed me). Some places don’t like children especially when it’s their busy days. But Rooney’s seemed to enjoy having our kids dine with them. Definitely going back

Despite the GPS providing an incorrect direction, we were compelled to contact the restaurant. The cuisine was satisfactory, offering a diverse selection of sauces and side dishes. The portion sizes were substantial. The waitress was both amiable and attentive.

Dined Sunday. Had a 5:00 reservation. Had to wait 10 minutes for the hostess to show up. She seemed very confused about where to seat us. Nice, open design floor plan. Lots of windows with view of the ocean. Loved the you build your meal – pick a fish, how its prepared, sauce and 2 sides. Food was delicious! Only reason I didn’t rate it a 5, the service was extremely slow. We were constantly looking for our waiter and it wasn’t that crowded. It was a 25 minute wait for him to return after giving us the menus. Our food came promptly, but our waiter never returned to check if everything was good. He never returned to ask if we needed drink refills. We waited 45 minutes after we finished dining to flag him down to receive the check. We were a party of four. We were there for 3 1/2 hours, most of the time we were waiting for the server. I would highly recommend if you don’t mind a slow, leisurely time.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks, the food was mostly good, with some exceptions. Rocking shrimp appetizer was the best. Charbroiled oysters were very good. Fried goat cheese was OK. Haddock and Salmon over cauliflower were very good. Spicy pasta was great. Steak had a bit of flavor to it I didn’t particularly like. Red snapper special was so-so, I wouldn’t order it again.. the sides were excellent, especially mushroom risotto and roasted carrots. Drinks and desserts were very good.
If I was asked to change anything I would serve espresso in an espresso cup not in an oversized one, because it takes away from the experience.

Excellent experience. The food was awesome, had a lobster (their specialty) dish and it was great. Appetizers were tasty as well…if you get the Whole Artichoke, make sure you ask how to eat it. service was excellent as well. It’s not cheap, but a great experience on the Shore.

Made a reservation so seating they tried to seat us outside I didn’t request it nor did they ask there were tables inside, so they seated us inside special occasion I put wife Birthday during dinning we were never ask nor did they mention anything drinks were good appetizer were good food came out cold, so we were like disappointed on our outing with Rooney’s, they did give us complimentary desserts and the manager did say he would make us another dish of the same gor the both of us

From the host stand to the end of our experience at Rooney’s it was a first class and friendly experience across the board….I believe we had one of the best seats in the house along with excellent service and food….we were checked in on by floor management multiple times. We’ll definitely be back…..!!
