Got the Chicken Pad Thai, Sapporo Roll, steamed Gyoza and the sushi special with a spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail for lunch. The prices were excellent, ambience and service were good. I wish they put out chili oil for the tables because I could have used more spice for the Pad Thai, but it was good with large pieces of chicken. The steamed gyoza was excellent. The Sapporo roll was great quality, but I’ll probably get one with spice or sauce next time. The sushi special selection we chose was just okay. I’d mix it up next time as well. Overall, very pleased and will be returning!

This restaurant is kind of hidden inside a much larger (office?) building, kind of annoying to get to. Its kind of dingy looking inside, old and lacks upkeep. The servers were nice enough but kind of awkward. Food was decent for fushion/American style Asian – a tad on the overly sweet and salty side. I liked the kalbi and sashimi was pretty fresh (though choices for types of fish were limited).

Got the chicken teriyaki, and it was so overcooked and dry. It’s a very busy place during lunch hour, so the atmosphere is loud and cramped. Staff was very friendly and keeping up with the pace. Perhaps other dishes are better or I went in an off day

A hidden gem! This harder to find (partly because of the construction in front of the building was worth the find. We needed a reasonably-priced sit-down dinner for our family of 4. The menu had a wide range of Asian flavors, we got fried tofu appetizer (just ok), miso soup (large and flavorful), fried-rice (my kid’s favorite and she’s picky about it), pad se ew (with rice noodles was a delicious and interesting twist), garlic stir-fry, and sushi.
Everyone enjoyed their meal and we had leftovers to bring home as well.
When we walked in the place was empty and that worried us a bit- but the constant flow of to-go orders made us realize that people were just taking it home.

Room 112 is a great sushi spot nestled into a beautiful old building. I was expecting more from the inside decor at the restaurant but I actually appreciated it not being glamorous and fancy. The service could be better but the sushi makes up for it. The sushi is terrific.

Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere was very cozy and intimate.

The restaurant is tucked away inside a building and kinda hidden so it’s pretty easy to miss however definitely worth looking for! The food was so delicious and the service was very quick.

Everything tasted amazing and was served quickly. The decor inside was nice and the restaurant was not overly crowded.
Everyone not eating was wearing a mask.

I greatly appreciate the fact that the nori can be subbed for soy paper here. Looking forward to coming back!!

Thid is a charming little gem tucked away in downtown Charlotte. While it’s definitely on the smaller side, with limited seating, the cozy atmosphere adds to its intimate vibe. The space is clean and well-maintained, but during peak hours, it can feel a bit cramped. I’d recommend getting there early if you want to avoid waiting.

As for the sushi, the quality is solid. The fish is fresh, and the presentation is thoughtful, though it doesn’t push the boundaries in terms of creativity. For those looking to try something unique, they do offer a few specialty rolls, though they tend to stick to safe, familiar flavors.

Despite being a small restaurant, the staff is quick to greet and serve, making you feel welcome right away. They’re also happy to accommodate special requests, which is a plus.

In terms of value, it’s reasonable for what you get.

This was our first visit to Room 112, but we will return. Let’s get right to it! The spring rolls were good, but a bit on the greasy side, which accounts for only a 4 star rating. I ordered the appetizer, Salt & Pepper Calamari. It was beautifully presented, had a good dipping sauce and was more than enough for a main course. My husband ordered Glazen Shrimp in Coconut Sauce. It was lovely! The shrimp were cooked well, and nicely sauced. The sauce was good, but a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but not enough to dissuade either of us from ordering it again. It came with broccoli and white rice. There was enough to share, if both of us had ordered appetizers. Next time I want to try their maki. We saw other diner’s orders and they looked really good. Service was efficient and pleasant. We found the prices to be reasonable…win-win!

Ordered sesame chicken to go and got a bunch of cut up chicken tenders with dry bland rice. I called to make sure this was my order and they said that’s how it comes. Low effort and disappointing. Spring roll was okay

First time visitors from Alabama. We had a party of 3 and hungry for sushi, hibachi, fried rice, etc. Room 112 checked all the boxes!

We ordered Spring Rolls for an appetizer and the Cherry Blossom roll, Shrimp & Salmon Teriyaki, and Chicken Teriyaki for entrees.

All of it was excellent! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fast. Portions were plentiful, and prices were fair and well worth it. You won’t leave hungry, for sure.

Our server, Nick, was fantastic. Very fun, professional, and had great recommendations! He made the experience even better.

Would be great for takeout or delivery, too.

Will definitely be back!
