I gave this place three stars because my wife and kid both love it, I just do not understand. Like the food is mediocre at best, there’s not a whole Lotta seasoning. But that’s fine they do add salt and pepper to the table I guess if that’s what your idea of the only seasoning is. It’s lackluster I guess that’s one way that I would put it. But it seems to be a local favorite for everybody, so if you want to try some thing from around here go for it, just bring some garlic with you or something else maybe. This is about the third time I’ve been here, ordered something different every time. And it always turns out the same.

I’m not big on sports bars in general, the atmosphere is always lacking, but the food at Rookies makes it worth the trip! Everything we ate was top-notch, and the service was great. The prices were inline too for the quality. I can’t recommend the seared blackend prime rib enough if you are a carnivore, and my wife said the salmon was some of the best she’s ate!

Stopped in for dinner. I had the seafood tortellini .My husband had the Cajun catfish. The tortellini could have used some parmesean cheese on top…….but it was good. The bread is very good.

If you want high quality food in a super casual environment this is the place. You are most definitely paying for the food and not the ambiance but it’s worth it. Much better than going to a chain restaurant. They serve delicious fresh baked bread with strawberry butter. Great steak and seafood cooked perfectly. I will warn you not to order french fries unless it’s for the kids…and they were out of several draft beer selections…but otherwise a great meal and I’m happy to recommend.

So my family and I decided to cross that money saving bridge and go to Rookies because my husband has never eaten there before and I’m always talking about how good the strawberry butter is.
I googled Rookies to see their hours for a Friday night and it said they close at 2am. So we headed there around 8pm. When we arrive there is a sign that says the kitchen closes at 9 wtf?! But we’re here now so I order all our food cause I knew what I wanted. I got the fried green tomatoes, catfish, and my husband got the chicken tenders and fries. I ordered a Long Beach and he ordered a modelo. They didn’t have modelo but they did have corona. She brought our drinks and brought my husband a Corona light. As a bartender/server myself you always ask before you just bring a drink that’s not what they asked for. She brought it already opened and I asked and she said they didn’t have any regular ones. Well what you’re not gon do is force me to drink the light one. My drink wasn’t good either but we kept them both and didn’t send them back. The server should have taken the corona light off because we didn’t ask for that, but she didn’t.
Hubby enjoyed his chicken tender and the fried green tomatoes were good. I asked for some bread and butter she she said it was wrapped up for the night. WELL UPWRAP IT AND BRING ME SOME. If the kitchen is open until 9 everything in it should be available until then.
This was a terrible experience at Rookies. You need your hours on google to reflect what they really are for the bar and restaurant. I later went to your website that says you close at 10, it doesn’t says the kitchen closes and hour before. All very confusing for customers. This isn’t the 1st time someone has complained about the hours (as I look at other reviews) so to me that says Rookies doesn’t care about confusing their patrons. This was my 1st experience on the family side because I had my baby. I never want to sit on this side again, the service is better in the bar. My server didn’t know anything and checked on us once. I didn’t like my experience or service. All the Henderson locals hype Rookies but it’s trash now. Not what it used to be… 0 of of 10, do not recommend! Not worth the $50 we spent

My 2nd time here. We had the same server as the 1st time. She was horrible this time. She never checked on us. She rolled her eyes when I tried to get her attention. I wanted an upgrade to Arabian salad and she charged me for the salad meal. BTW the salad was horrible. I even tipped her $10. If I try for the 3rd time I will not accept her as our server.

This is a nice place. Had dinner 3 times with friends. I would definitely recommend the beef medallion. The rice with sauteed vegetables and grilled fried chicken was a kind of Chinese chicken friend rice but I am not recommending it (individual preferences differ though). The environment is nice and the staff is friendly.
