This is a great local spot for some wonderful Burgers and Hot Dogs. We had the Bacon Cheddar Ranch Burger w/Steak Fries and a Slaw Dog with Onion Rings. The breading on the rings was outstanding. Nice spiced breading that was light with thick slices of Onion and the dipping sauce had a taste of Texas Pete. The dog was super tasty and at least 1/4 lb. Great seasoning of the burger as well. Definitely has the “Hole in the Wall” feel, so you know it must be good! Finished with a Vanilla Shake that was hand scooped and spun with the taste of soft serve!

I want to start off by saying thank you to Shawn and Dylan for the wonderful Ronnie burger with cheese and some good old steak fries that I had. Family member had the slaw dogs and was delighted at the change of them. Services was great and thanks to Zoey as well for the customer service. I would highly recommend this place especially coming in to Savannah or even leaving out of town for a good old fashioned burger. The visit on 10/9/2025 @ 1:38 exceed what I expected.

Asked Google maps to find us a local diner when we were heading south in I-40, and 17 minutes later we were up to our eyeballs in great American fare. Simple and delicious Angus beef burger and steak fries. Their famous hand spun milkshakes are hands scooped Tillamook ice cream. They are not playing around in the milkshake business! They have a rich local history, a story well-depicted in the photos that adorn the walls.

So it’s a counter-order place(yes, tips are asked for at transaction when ordering but there’s an option for ‘no tip’ so you may table tip if so wanted). I had the most unusual meatloaf which appeared to be a pressed, round patty garnished with ketchup and spent some time in the oven. The mashed potatoes and Cole slaw were great plus a really good milkshake afterwards. Their electronic menu board needs some review and editing too. The location is iconic I’ve learned as it used to primarily be a gas station several decades ago and morphed into what it is today with it also being a location for a couple of film productions. The location is decorated with items from the old gas station days and other time related items. I hope to peruse their menu over time!

I was headed to B&D burgers when I asked chatgpt about best burgers in pooler… this was number 1 over b&D and let me tell you it was GREAT! We got a double specialty burger side and drink, a single specialty burger side and drink and French toast at 2pm for $44. Delicious, plenty for the 3 of us. Highly recommend! Best burgers in Savannah

Pizza burger was pretty good, I’ll definitely have to come back for their Philly cheesesteak. Nice little restaurant, but they have you pay at the front when you order your food and I don’t like it when they ask for a tip before you’ve even tried the food or seen the service because I’ll leave a bigger one after a good experience.

What a gem! Stop in to this hidden gem and step back in time to when life was simple. Enjoy music from 50/60/70 era. Really sets the tone.

The whole restaurant is like a time capsule that tells the story of Ronnie. From plaques on the wall for supporting racing teams to vinyl records and classic signs.

Now! On to the food

We stopped in for an early dinner. Classic burgers, fries, onion rings, and a small portion of Salisbury steak.

Everything was fresh, fast, and most of all delicious. Onion rings are huge! Hand battered. Light and crispy!
Fries are thick cut steak fries and served crispy!
Burgers. Honestly I’ve never had such a picture perfect burger.
We tried the double quarter, a kids cheeseburger and a mushroom and Swiss burger.
The burgers a thick! Juicy and made to order.

Stop in for the food stay for the atmosphere.

They also offer drive thru

I came here two days in a row, the first day was for lunch. I enjoyed a Chilli Cheese Slaw Dog and a coke. This was one of the best Chilli dogs ever.
I also loved the old fashion decor. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen ablums, they were everywhere. Old tunes played in the background making this place even more exciting to dine in.
The service is first class.
My second visit was for breakfast I ordered the Ronnie Jr Breakfast which consists of eggs, grits with bacon. I enjoyed my breakfast too.
My next visit I will try a hamburger. I hear the milkshakes are delicious too.

I decided to have my Twin Peaks themed birthday party here after having the best breakfast biscuits ever at a meeting catered by Ronnie’s. Everything about this experience was great! I made reservations on their website several weeks in advance. They were very accommodating and even obliged my request for two cherry pies! I ended up with a party of 11 and they reserved several tables together for us. It turns out that only one of my guests had ever been to Ronnie’s before. Everyone else or first time customers and really enjoyed their food. My patty melt was delicious and the portions were perfect! It came with the side. I chose steak fries. When everyone was done with their meal, I went to the counter to ask about the cherry pie. They even offered to cut it for us! They brought it to us, served nice and warm. I ordered coffee, to go with my pie, of course! As I was leaving, everyone behind the counter wished me a happy birthday! I will definitely be back! If you are looking for excellent food at excellent prices in a fun, nostalgic setting, Ronnie’s Restaurant is the place to go!

I had high hopes for the food. I got the Bacon Ranch Burger. My wife for the mushroom burger. The flavors were bland, the onion rings were under cooked.
That being said it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. I did like the fries! Also the prices were a little higher than they should be… I might go back and try sometime else on the menu.
