First, the location is extremely nice, view of the bridge and boats is tranquil and appealing. (That’s the 1 star) But after that it was downhill from there. Food had no real taste. Absolutely not homemade just heat up and service sysco. Prices- outrages for what you get. Order crab dip – 95 % cream cheese 5% crab for $24 . No alcoholic drinks price total dinner for 7 $302.87. Had to ask waitress for refills – meal took an hour and place was pretty empty. The location has a bunch of potential. Not worth the stop- food is tasteless and expensive. Fries with bacon and cheese had no bacon and was cooked in a microwave. My daughter never received her side salad. We were charge extremely for fresh vegetables of the day that consisted of frozen carrots and broccoli heated up. Bathroom was filthy- see photo – even use plastic cups to drink out – for a place that charges around $50 a person (crazy) Not worth your hard earned money, go somewhere else.

This place is nice for its view of the bridge and overall atmosphere. The service here is really good they have friendly staff, the wait time for the food is a little long but not too bad. I got the calamari appetizer. It was ok at most, some of the bigger pieces were a bit undercooked. the portion was what I’d expect though the portion for the fries I ordered apart wasn’t. Same goes with the fried shrimp dish but I suppose the sides made up for the lack of shrimp. The drinks were really good though and the best dish I think was the salmon filet.

I went to Portside Seafood Restaurant in Cambridge and had a genuinely great experience.
From the start, the service stood out. My waitress—whose name I did catch—made me feel immediately at home. She was attentive, warm, and thoughtful without being overbearing. What really impressed me was her awareness: her entry points were always natural, and she actually knew the associate I was meeting, which made the whole experience feel personal rather than routine.
The food was excellent. The bacon fries alone were a full meal—crispy, loaded, and indulgent in the best way. Easily one of those dishes you remember after you leave.
I also really enjoyed the merlot. Smooth, easy-drinking, and a perfect complement to the meal and atmosphere.
Overall, it was just an all-around solid experience: great service, great food, and a welcoming vibe. Portside does what it’s supposed to do—and does it well.

We have been there and eaten inside where the food and service was great. Today however we sat on the deck downstairs with 2 other couples. The service was severely lacking! We had to flag someone down whe. We needed more drinks, silverware and water. The most attentive was the bis boy who assisted with bringing food out. He is who should get the tips out there. We ordered the cheese bacon fries and they asked if we wanted small or large..attached is the picture of the large fries we got. It was mainly cheese with a few fries. Not worth the money!

Not a local, here for the gfny bike race…Overall I would like to give a higher review, but the 25% mandatory tip kind of put a bad taste in our mouth. I could over look the late crab dip coming out at the end, or the t-bone steak being super thin and way well done, (they did replace the steak to their credit after we pointed it out) but generally we had a pleasant time and the seafood was pretty good. Just be aware that your GONNA pay 25% on top of your bill. No choice. Party of 6 fyi. Hope they do better in the future.

Folks COME ON!! I ordered a crabcake sandwich for $24 with tax and you can at least give me a piece of lettuce and tomato slice. I had to go back in and show them this. Then they had the nerve to tell me they put nothing on it unless you ask. It’s A SANDWICH!!!!!!!! These are common ingredients. If you want to be this anal, just add a surcharge for base level ingredients and watch your demand go down. Also take a hard look at the size of that thing. This has to be 3 oz. What a joke omg lol. Its almost as if they did this to me intentionally because what are you doing really when you serve this?

Overall experience was great. Late summer dinner over the water. Menu had something for everyone. From wings to fresh fish, prime rib and great soups and appetizers. Drinks were good and prices were reasonable . Service was a little slow but friendly.

The waitress Josie was very nice and it seemed like a very nice clean place. It had a great harbor view from the outdoor seating. Though my crabby burger was not that good. The onion rings were also ok, big enough that they fit around my cup! Overall the service and atmosphere were great though the food was ok.

The burger wasn’t anything to write home about. But the scallop special was delicious. Tons of scallops cooked perfectly topped with crab imperial
The hostess – Janey – was a treat and worth coming back for.
Outdoor dining available and the ambiance on a nice day is perfect

New to the area. A few people recommend that I try this place. its not a lot options in the area YET. But the food was average. I had a side salad( Ioved the house salad dressing) and I have the combo(crab balls, crab dip, crab skins). The crab skins was my least favorite and it was taken off my bill. The customer service wasn’t great. The restaurant wasn’t even packed. A supervisor serve me but seemed to be busy in a not busy restaurant.
Hopefully, the customer service and food presentation and food quality will continue to improve in time. Especially when more business is coming to the area.
