*Edit* Wife and I ate there last sunday and her chicken tasted off, and my pasta was like sucking on straight lemon. We raised the issue to the owner (after taking way too long to get the attention of our waitress, the same girl we’ve had to wait too long for multiple recent visits) and was given excuses with no actual concern or resolution. No offer to remake the bad portions, and paid full price for only half the food being actually edible. I waited so long to update the review because Im torn about it, the times we’ve had good food, it’s been great. Very poor service though, and that will keep me from returning as eagerly. Rating reduced to 3 stars from 5.
*Original review following* Good food. Suffering same issue as the last Italian place that closed down here, bad location and no advertising. Wife had the spaghetti and meatballs and enjoyed it (and mentioned the meatballs were cooked perfectly, in the sauce, as they should be), I had the pizza and enjoyed it. Like the last Italian place as well, best pizza in the city. Italian cream cake is great too.

We got the lunch chicken Alfredo, first off the chicken was awful the texture was super weird like it wasnt real chicken. The pasta that’s suppose to have Alfredo sauce was just straight greasy oil substance covering the noodles.
The bread that came with it was hard and very dark.

First impression when walking in was its a very old building that smells like an old church. Hostess asked where we would like to sit so we requested a booth. The table was at least a foot and a half away from the booth seat, so not reccomended for short people. They had about 5 tables seated total with two tables around 8 to 12 people, so not super busy, but only two wait staff. BOTH wait staff came up and asked for our drinks and what we wanted so wasn’t sure who was our waiter. It even confused them.
We ordered stuffed mushrooms, fettuccine Alfredo, and a tiramasu. They brought us garlic bread rolls to start, which were really good! The pasta came with a salad.
The mushrooms were definitely frozen then reheated in an oven to boiling. The mushroom itself was juicy, but lacked flavor. according to my bf who ordered “reading the ingredients list, non of it tasted present.” The sauce itself though created a wonderful dip for the garlic bread.
The Alfredo just a normal plate comes with no veggies, and for some reason comes with a spoon. I was kinda shook when I pulled out a spoon from my plate. They were kind enough to add spinach to my order for no charge. The sauce was very thin, and didn’t have much flavor, but after sitting in my fridge for a few hours and thickened up it was way tastier.
The salad was mid. The actual lettuce was quality, but the only thing that separated it from just being a lettuce bowl and a salad was two onions and a single cherry tomato. Brought that home to spruce up.
The tiramasu was delicious, but came with chocolate syrup on top, the waiter saw me trying to wipe it off and was kind enough to get me a new one, so make sure you ask for it without first if you prefer a more natural tiramasu.
Throughout the meal I watched as our second waiter who had taken up the ball to do our table disappeared into the back to help the cook while the hostess jumped in to wait tables.
The prices and menu options are still intriguing enough for us to come back for entrees, but the appetizer opinions for the same price as an entree was what threw me off. 10 dollars for 6-8 mozzarella sticks when I box of 40 them is 13$ at the super 1 was off-putting as much as I love them.
All in all was a very mid experience, but still has great potential. With a proper table rotation, an extra staff here or there, and a few tweaks to some recipes I could see this place becoming my new favorite spot.

Was kind of shocked by the lack of people in this place on a Saturday because they are amazing! Seriously for what looks to be a little whole in the wall in bfe this place is SUPER clean the service is GREAT and the pizza well that was just down right EXCELLENT!!! The sauce was perfect not too sweet and their toppings were super high quality the dough and crust were nice and light had a perfect fold it was also the perfect texture and consistency I got just a regular pepperoni with cheese and sauce it was the best I’ve in LA period unfortunately that was all I could try this time but I will definitely be back soon.

Pleasantly pleased with our initial experience. Small supreme pizza(no mushroom or bell pepper) and pasta trio. Magnificent! Graci!

When I think of the old school, amazing flavor of new orleans Italian restaurant this is the only place in the 337 that hits those notes. Foods amazing, restaurant is clean and cozy, prices are fantastic. I wish this restaurant and a couple others in rayne were more accessible to the rest of the 337 because ut truly deserves it. Would post pictures but when you find a place like this, the food doesnt sit around too long. Not long enough to take a picture this time will be back and will tell others about this place! Never change

Went here with my girlfriend and her parents. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome! The background music they play really makes you feel like you’re in a movie. Best bread rolls I’ve ever had.Definitely recommended this place!

This is a wonderful place to eat Italian. The service was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The food was great, with rich flavors, and served in a timely manner. Portion sizes were adequate, meaning we all had a few leftovers to bring home for the next day. The atmosphere was mello, although it could be from us going on a Wednesday night. In conclusion, 10/10 would recommend.

Delicious! This place is our new “must stop” location when we take a road trip this way. We had shrimp dishes. I highly recommend the steamed veggies, which includes onions, peppers, mushrooms, and broccoli. The Italian Cream cake is also worth the calories.
The atmosphere is nicer than a hole in the wall, but typical small town restaurant.

I love the atmosphere here and their pizza is my favorite in this whole area. The staff is very friendly. Kendrick did a great job helping me find what I wanted.
One thing I would say is that the bathroom is tiny. It was, however, clean and stocked.
