A friend, her 12 yr old niece, and I went to Roma’s for lunch on a Saturday after visiting the art fair. The atmosphere was very nice. There is a patio for outdoor eating, but it was closed at that time. I ordered the eggplant parm, my friend ordered the cheese manicotti with the pink vodka sauce, and her niece a small pepperoni pizza.
First, the bread with dipping spices and olive oil were great. We asked for some balsamic vinegar to add, and it put it over the top delicious. All the meals were nice sized and absolutely delicious. I will return and take my family!

My first time here and I loved it. It was pretty busy, but good thing I had a reservation. So we were seated quickly. My waitress was friendly she start us off with bread and dip oil which it was good. Then I ordered an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. Now, that had my taste buds jumping. My entrée was the house special and that was the best food I ever tasted in Nacogdoches thus far. The flavor on that dish was spot on. I highly recommend this place!

Our food was mediocre at best. Not horrible but not good either….my eggplant Parmesan, did not have enough sauce on the dry overcooked pasta, my daughter got the meatball sub, the meatballs were actually gray. I was told it was great many times. Hoping for a better meal next time. The service was good and atmosphere was great.

I came here with my wife. I got the chicken Alfredo and she got the rigatoni special.
The chicken Alfredo was pretty standard. It definitely wasn’t bad but it didn’t blow me away by any means. Their menu was pretty large though so if I come back I could definitely choose something else. They have several different sections which includes, pasta only dishes, chicken only, veal only, sandwiches, and pizzas as well as a short cocktail menu and a very extensive wine menu.
My wife really enjoyed her meal but personally didn’t like the sausage that was in it. I could tell that the sausage itself was high quality as it was extremely aeromatic and it had several layers of flavor with different herbs. Personally though the flavor was a bit overwhelming for me.
The service was excellent. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and we were seated very quickly. Unknown to us a very very large to-go order has been placed for some kind of tour bus right before we got there. From what I observed the staff brought out at least 10+ meals for the people on the bus but it didn’t seem to impact them that hard because we received our food in a very standard amount of time. Now the absolute highlight of our night was our waiter Landon. Genuinely one of the best waiters I have ever experienced. They were exceptionally attentive and checked on us plenty of times asking if we wanted refills or if we needed anything at all. I’m not sure if there are any higher tier restaurants in the area but if Landon likes being apart of the wait staff seriously you should look into getting into some really fancy restaurants because you were excellent at your job.
As for the atmosphere it was quite nice. We went after it was dark outside so with the lovely warm lighting from inside and the Christmas lights wrapped around some trees outside it felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. I will say though I was a bit annoyed because there was a large group in there with 1 gentlemen who was being quite loud. From the way the staff and other customers interacted with him I’m guessing he’s a local and frequenter of the restaurant. Even then if I’m sitting 20 feet away trying to enjoy a quiet dinner with my wife I don’t want to hear a grown man speaking over everyone at the table talking about “6 7” and “that’s some LIPSTICK on my DIPSTICK” I’m not sure what he meant by the ladder but come on dude read the room I can barley hear everyone else at your table and you’re the only one yelling. Chill.
That said if I come back through town and I was craving some Italian I would definitely come back.

I’ve been 2x in the last couple of weeks. Got the Lamb Chops by mistake the first time, they were fantastic. Got the pork chops the 2nd time which were good, but just not as good as the lamb chops. (I had already eaten one of the lamb chops b4 I took the picture). Save room for the Lemoncello cake! Great service, cool vibe.

Does the food taste bad? No. Is it bland? Absolutely. For those prices I expected more flavorful food. If you’re hungry it’s edible and the portions are decently sized, but its not really worth eating. I can’t recommend eating anything other than the limoncello cake unless you’re just desperate. The outdoor area is really nice just needs more shade. This place would be great with some improvement, but as is I can’t recommend.

Excellent Italian restaurant in historic downtown Nacogdoches. New restaurant which was quite busy on this Saturday night. We hoped to sit outdoors in their lovely courtyard but decided not to wait. Inside dining was great. They have done a beautiful job with the ambiance in this restaurant. The bar is absolutely gorgeous! Service was awesome. And the food yummy.
We started with side salads, a generous serving for $4.00! I tried their house dressing (a tomato vinegrette), which was interesting and delicious). I highly recommend this dressing. I enjoyed their eggplant parm as my entry, which was also delish (and generous). Hubby had the lasagna, which we loved. Their marinara sauce is very good, making both dishes enjoyable. They have a nice wine list, although we didn’t drink wine. We took a canola to go and enjoyed it at home. Delicious!
Our only negative comment: the ambiance of this restaurant deserves more than diner style plastic cups and a single fork for both our salad and entree. There was so much attention to detail except for this one detail, which would give this restaurant a higher-end feel and appearance.

Update…what a nice ambiance for dinner. The music is perfect. We started with drinks – martini & cosmo. Made perfectly. Then we enjoyed a delicious dinner salad with their house dressing which was so good. This time we had Chicken Parmigiano and I had to have my lasagna again. We unfortunately had to send back the Chicken Parmigiano as was overcooked. The owner personally brought out a replacement. We appreciated his personal touch. Our waitress, Holly, was excellent. Definitely highly recommend.
Atmosphere is so pleasant. View out window of historical town just makes atmosphere better. Lasagna was very good. Pizza was good…could have had a bit more cheese but the crust was perfect. Definitely coming back for dinner. I imagine it will be really nice at Christmas time with downtown decorated.
