I’ve been coming to Romano’s for NY Style Pizza since the early 90’s. Excellent crust and pizza and don’t sleep on their Italian classics like Chix Parm or Veal Picatta. They have the best marinara sauce in Texas.

I ate Chef’s special Mona Lisa Pizza but I guess they should call it Tomato pizza, the cheese amount is very low I felt I ate tomato with with bread. It is also pretty expensive for a veggie pizza. May be other options are better.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

I’ve been coming to Romanos Pizza since 2010. The slice is still huge, foldable, and crisp the way New York-style should be. Sauce isn’t overly sweet, crust has that light chew with a proper crunch at the edge. And it’s a fast grab-and-go during hectic lunch hours.

I enjoy the linguini with white clam, and it’s the kind of garlicky, olive-oil-soaked pasta I enjoy: generous with the clams, both in the shell and tucked between the noodles. Bright heat from the chili flakes and plenty of fresh basil.

Simple side salad, creamy dressing, and buttery garlic bread—exactly what you expect and crave from a spot like this. Always a steady crowd, always super-friendly counter service, and always worth the visit.

Romano’s hasn’t tried to reinvent anything since my first visit. And that’s why it works!

As someone who’s been to New York several times, I can confidently say this is the real deal! The pizza tastes just like the authentic New York slices perfect crust, amazing flavor, and fresh toppings. The place is spotless, the service is great, and overall it’s hands down the best New York–style pizza in Houston. If you’re craving true NY pizza, this is the spot!

I’m gonna make it quick.
Houston is a terrible pizza town. I have no clue and I just don’t get it. And it frustrates me to no end.

But Romano’s is a legit New york style pizza joint.

It was thin, crispy and light.
The mozzarella sticks were aight..
But the pizza is what I’ve been looking for, I don’t need spectacular, I just want good new york style.

Undercarriage was so good

If you are looking for a good solid pie, this is it for sure, no glitz or glamor either.
Just a good pizza joint making great pizza

This is top tier pizza. The pasta? Off the charts as well. Calamari? Fresh out of the ocean. Why did it take me so long to discover this place?

I was shocked when I ordered my food to see a price of $17.32. I was even more shocked when I seen my food. Overpriced! Didn’t taste authentic. I wouldn’t recommend.

This is a great local Italian spot to check out. The tortellini vodka is incredibly delicious. I ordered a plate, thinking I was going to have some leftovers to bring to work the next day, but instead I scraped the plate clean of any remaining sauce. The tortellini vodka was better than some of the fancier spots. I also really like the fettucine alfredo here. The garlic bread is the perfect addition. Come here if you are craving some comforting Italian food.

Im from NY so I can be a bit critical about NY style pizza. Its the Queens in me. We paid a little over 19 dollars for a 12 inch pizza. It was actually 18.40 but they add a fee onto the bill if you are using a debit/credit card. Still a bit expensive for a 12 inch in my opinion. But anyway, overall, I give it 4 stars because it was thicker than a normal NY style pizza. The sauce was delicious. The cheese didnt slide like I like it. But overall it was a solid pizza.
