If you’re looking for that Good Taste of Home Cooked, Barbecue style meal all in one place in the DMV area? Then make your way to The Rolling Rib Part 2 Restaurant in Upper Marlboro MD. We ordered a Catfish meal with Mac and Cheese and String Beans, Barbecue Chicken with Collard Greens, Potato Salad, Cabbage, Yams, Cornbread and Strawberry Lemonade Drinks. Our meal was flavorful, Loaded with Large Portions, Tasty and Delicious from the beginning to the end. Staff were very friendly and Helpful with our order. This Restaurant doesn’t offer any din in services or indoor seating, but they do offer a limited amount of outdoor seating on the side of the building. This Restaurant was clean and they offer a limited amount of parking spaces in the parking lot.

Couldn’t even wait until I got home to eat. I was already impressed by the customer service. They are quick and efficient with taking and filling orders. The food is sooooo good! My goodness. Definitely hit the spot. Definitely will be back.

I ordered the Fat Box & Catfish. They were both DELICIOUS! There was plenty of food! I actually couldn’t eat it all! Everything was seasoned perfectly! The only complaint I have is the parking is HORRIBLE! They really need to invest in land next to the building so they can pave out better parking! Also the pick up area could be better organized. I’ll definitely be back!

Okay, so I have to write this review about The Rolling Rib Part 2. I’ve been a loyal customer since they were just a food truck near Freddy’s Liquor Store back in District Heights. Their food used to be truly amazing!
But honestly, things have taken a turn for the worse. I only went twice this entire 2025 season (April and November), because the ribs both times were severely dry and had a terrible beef jerky-like consistency. I used to go weekly and spend a lot of money, but I can’t justify it anymore since the quality dropped and the prices went up.
They have major operational issues, too. They’re located in a remote spot, and the frustrating thing is, they won’t answer their phones and their online ordering system is broken. This forces you to drive all the way out there and wait in the awful, hours-long lines (they are clearly understaffed and don’t care about the wait time), just to find out when you get to the register to order, that they’re already out of key food items or desserts.
If they would just answer their phones and fix their online ordering system, they wouldn’t have so many people stuck clogging up their parking lot! Every business, including this popular Black-owned spot, needs to keep its quality high and treat customers right. They really need to fix the food and the service if they want to keep people coming back. If it remains this way, I wouldn’t care if they returned going forward.

I absolutely love coming here. The food is always flavorful and mouthwatering. The service here is great. You can never go wrong ordering anything off the menu.
I have so many favorites from the menu that it’s truly hard on what I like the most. Their macaroni and cheese taste like true home cooked Mac. The yams, my goodness, are packed with sweetness, so be prepared to enjoy it with a kick of sweet in your mouth. The seafood salad is one of my favorites. The catfish is fried but soft at the time. The beef ribs are a reason to go back as well. The strawberry drink man oh man, be careful not to eat a lot of sweets because the drink is plentiful of sweet. I love it. You can not go wrong with anything you order off the menu. The cornbread my oh my.
Everything I listed, I truly go back for multiple times when I do go there.
One thing for sure is if you like to share your food, I believe here is maybe one of the places to be selfish. It’s hard to share when the food is so good.

Sorry Ito have to write this review. I used to go here a lot even when it was a food truck back in the day. But I went on Saturday when it opened. I got the family rib platter: My ribs meat did not fall off the bone. It was chewy and tough. The only good part of the rib was near the fat. I paid $45 and was not satisfied. The Mac and cheese did not taste homemade. The cabbage was blend. No flavor with only red pepper flakes. I’m a foodie and was very disappointed. Wont be going back. Sorry.

This establishment is not a “Dine In” type of place with tables inside the restaurant. There are a few picnic tables outside located on the side of the building. My takeaways:
1. There’s a sign that informs you that the food is made fresh daily and this is why customers have to wait. Be prepared for an hour long wait time.
2. As a first time diner at this establishment, I was pleased with the menu. Having options for people who do not eat pork and not using pork in their dishes is wise. I don’t eat pork. Only beef, turkey, and fish.
3. I ordered a family meal which comes with two sides. I added the beverages. I found it to be upsetting that they did not have a 1 gallon container of their strawberry lemonade. I had to buy two half gallons.
4. Thus far their strawberry lemonade is the best that I’ve tasted in the years that I have been reviewing food places.
5. The beef ribs had a great smoke flavor, however, some of the ones I received were a bit chewy although the smoke and seasoning flavors were delicious.
6. The macaroni and cheese and sweet potato candy yams were good. The collard greens could use more seasoning.
7. The banana pudding is jive tasty. You get a nice helping of it too.
Overall, I’ll go again. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars.

I ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, collard greens, and boiled cabbage, and then it was suggested to me by another customer to try the pound cake. The food and I mean all the food was excellent! This has become my number one favorite bbq! This place is a must try! The pound cake was awesome! The flavors were off the hook great!
