Had dinner there this evening and the room is very welcoming as are the staff. The meal was above expectations and the owner was most gracious to my wife and I. Look forward to our next meal there when we return to Mexico.

The place was nice. It really gives the vibes of a French bistro.
I’m giving this place a 3 stars because the Filete Sonora was not good. The filete has quite a few chewy and fat parts, the knife was not sharp at all, I tested it on my thumb and couldn’t cut myself, the meat itself was pretty bland.
On the other hand the Mejillones were excellent, the fries and salad as well very good.
The creme brulee was just ok.

Nice place. Went on a Tuesday night. I had the French onion soup and my partner had the penne and a glass of Malbec.
Bottom line is that it was a mediocre overall experience at best. The good: decent atmosphere and service. Food was well flavored. The not so good: the onion soup was served at room temperature. The wine pour was at best miserly.
For the cost, I was very disappointed. There are plenty of better restaurants in the area where you can receive a better value and get your food served appropriately.
Do yourself a favor and avoid.

Unfortunately couldn’t get a table but I tried this rest twice before and food is really good for French standards in Mexico . Decided to go again this past Sunday March 1. We got there at 5pm knowing already that they closed at 6pm . This review goes straight to whoever owns this rest . Trained your staff to learn that when a rest closes at 6pm , u tell your customers that they are already closed . When the rest is full of tables . Hostess told us at 5pm and I repeat( they closed at 6) that they were closed cause kitchen was closed. It was a hour gap not 20 mins . Terrible business strategy. Perhaps employees stop getting paid at 6pm and they don’t want to stay one min later . But it looks bad for business . Website says u are closed at 6PM not whenever they kitchen decided to stop taking orders. When it an hour away . We drove 30 mins from Polanco .

This used to be one of my favorites restaurants in La Condesa. I just spent almost 100 USD on really miserable portions, not tasty at all. I remembered a great sea bass with capers dish, I ordered that and there were almost no capers. The pepper chicken wasn’t better either. Even the tarte tatin that I recall being the signature dessert was just lame. Beyond disappointed, don’t go.

Second visit: Ordered Pechuga de Pollo al Limón ($290 MX) and Chuleta de Cordero con Humus ($540 MX). We were hungry and ordered quickly around 3pm (two hours after opening), but we waited almost quite some time for our food. The bread they brought us (twice) was not warmed, we asked for it to be toasted they kindly complied.
The aioli that comes with the bread is flavorful.You can see the portion sizes from the photos, but this is “fine dinning”.
The lamb chop was grilled to a perfect temperature but the burn marks carried a strong charred taste. The pollo was a delicious dish for the price and I recommend it. My first experience here the food was acceptable. Both times the atmosphere has been wonderful and the neighborhood is very charming. I came here originally after hearing of such great food.
Perhaps I came on a couple of bad days.
If you must know, I’m not a fresa, just a normal guy looking for good quality food.
3 stars bc I have hope for rojo bistró and will likely give them another try to update this rating.

A nice place to have a longer lunch. We had a celebration here and the food was mostly good. The service was nice and personal. The staff was quick with the orders, depending on the food that was ordered.

Cute little French restaurant that serves up classic continental fare. A bit pricey (for Mexico) but very reasonable in comparison to US. The food is presented well and is tasty. I’ll be back.
