I only sat outside in the heated enclosure but it was perfect for the weather and well furnished. The inside looked very riotous and Bohemian in terms of designs and I look forward to checking it out next time.
Our server Drew was attentive, helpful, and fun. They were able to offer suggestions or confirm good drink choices and were very personable when with the businesses of a Friday night.
Great price points as well; the fancier cocktails were in the $15-18 range but a simple Old fashioned was only $11
I asked which of the seasonal items have carbonation and his response was to tell me “they’re on the menu, you have to read it”.
I asked him if he was unfamiliar with the menu and he said he is familiar, so I repeated my question on which drinks were carbonated and he reiterated that they are on the menu to which I replied “don’t play dumb”.
He refused me service after that but it seems like he would have made my drinks wrong either way.
Ended up going to a POC owned business down the street and it was a stark reminder of supporting businesses that are inclusive and supportive to ethnic culture.
And as another commentator wrote: I likewise had a scary experience here a couple years back which at the time I assumed was unrelated to this establishment. I had a few beers, realized I was getting a bit drunk and decided to go home. And that’s all I remember. But something about that experience felt different from a typical night of drinking and it left me feeling terrified. The way my memory fades out from what I can recall of that night doesn’t seem normal. I will definitely not be back to this establishment.
To the person who responded to my review: why would I call when you are also playing dumb.
I wrote the entire interaction in detail, but you called it “vague”.
You said I just “wanted to use the restroom” when I stated I ended up going to a different establishment (where I also used the restroom since you seem to think that has some kind of relevance)
Your employees are unfamiliar with the menu. I asked very direct questions about the drinks and he was unable to answer any of them. If he was familiar with it, his response to a customer asking about the menu items wouldn’t have been to “read the menu”, it should be to talk over the options with the customers.
And if he has actually been there that long then that explains why he’s so bold being rude to customers when management doesn’t even care to read customer complaints. But sure, me asking him to not play dumb is the problem, not his behavior.
The good: As soon as we walked in the atmosphere is palpable…and in a good way. The lighting is moody and unique, from the cozy couches to the wall of lit taps in the back. Great little decor all over the place too. The drinks are unique and classy but not overpriced. Lots of unique cocktail options, and a decent amount of beers too.
The not-so-good: The barkeeps were noticeably slow after the drinks are ordered. The music was odd at times, whether it was cut off randomly, too loud, or did a 180 tonally.
Atmosphere: 10/10
Service: 8/10
To reply for the behind: I always obey the law and I can accept we don’t bring ID and we need to leave. But your attitue is the worst, we’re so like this place, we even use 1 more hours to find parking and it’s not the first time I’ve been here. You didnt’ even say sorry for that or anything kind, just evict us. And, I asked others go there before too, they were never asked ID and they are white guy. To reclaim, when I go here with them, I was never been asked for an ID. THIS IS THE RACIST! I respect the law, but when you treat people differently, it’s unfair and IT IS RACIST! The reply is also very cold, like I’m the first time go to a bar, I’ve been here for more than 6 years, who do you think you’re giving a lesson to?Will you say this to others????????????
